Team Quick Ben Is this an actual group I can join?

I've seen it all over the place, and I adore Quick Ben (he's the reason one of my sons will be Ben), but I have no idea if it's a real joinable group.
All these arguments about who would beat whom in a fight are irrelevant.
I think we all know I'd win.

TQB was formed during the Suvudu cage match in 2011. It was the committee of people dedicated to Quick Ben and his endless victories during the cage match. The group was successful, QB won that year.
Here's a recent topic with a few noteworthy posts about User Groups:

And here's a much larger thread if you're really that bored:

Or just join chat some time and ask around. We're all nice here. Except Illy, he's insane. And Obdi, he can be a dick. And Apt, he'll make you cry. And Abyss, he'll eat your soul and take over your account to add to his list of puppets.
You know, you should probably delete your account while you still can.
Edit: And if you still intend to stick around, ask one of the TQB people. They would know more about it than one such as I. It's probably a safe bet to say you'd have to be an active participant on the forum to join them, if they're even open to application.

Absolutely no problem at all, totally.
But yeah, welcome and all that.

Team Quick Ben is no longer actively seeking recruits however we are willing to consider new applications but only under exceptional circumstances - http://forum.malazan...pic=22968&st=56
And if considered you would have to agree to the TQB Charter, as mentioned here - forum.malazanempire.com/index.php?showtopic=21397&st=41

On the other hand, the user group to which JLV belongs (the Painfully Eager Newbies) has but one requirement an that is to show a dedication to participation on the site, in any form including chat, social forums such as Phoenix Inn, and more canonical activity (the SE and ICE book threads). We are always open to new members, so please inquire should you be interested .

I'm looking forward to the day when PEN's run completely out of control for Gust. He'll have to have old PEN's and new PEN's on separate PM lists.
And yes, I know how that looks.
you Gusty

I like your train of thought there KL, I have been wondering the same thing... what DO the PENs become when they are no longer newbies? Perhaps the Painfully Eager and Ever-present Regulars aka PEERs? It rings of an honorable society if you ask me... or hmmmm perhaps the Good Old and Outrageously Still Eager group (aka GOOSE) to stay with the bird theme. ...

They join High House Mafia, the darker, richer green.
Well, the invitation is for those who play mafia, of course, but a large part of PEN does.

You are in should you want to be. Give us the word and we will begin begging the Admin's for your induction.

Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.
