Well, at first I thought there might be a hidden mechanic like maybe he's not allowed to vote for his shields.

Except he's just voting for himself, so that doesn't work. Also, it is my belief that his rolePM is most likely exactly the same as what we have on thread.

But yeah, voting for Fener resulting in extra kills seems really awful. There could have easily been 3 or more joke votes on him day 1, which would have been ridiculous.

which is why i'm not willing to believe that. And I'm sceptical of people who try to bring it up.

from a game design perspective (meta aside), I can see the need for a vote as a requirement the person playing the tyrant 'd have somehtign to do during the day.

if the role was given to someone with a less.... abrasive personality, I could easily see them just lurking for entire days. While it's good for town, it's boring for the player stuck with the role.

making at least one vote necessary for NAs would ensure a minimum amount of participation.

That's what i'd think from a design point of view. Ofc, given that twelve designed this role for a particular player, it becomes less likely it's that simple.

Being a known scum, who can silence and rhyme time, doesn't strike as something anyone would lurk over. And doing once a day voting of himself isn't exactly content inducing. As a mechanic, it just seems too superfluous as is.
