I also like that you updated the player info on page one of the thread. I wonder is someone will figure out that the Qadi will come back.

About the Qadi. Was his lynch proof suppose to stop him from dieing in the first place?

Tapper's clues have made that abundantly clear if they are looking. Plus the self-vote.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

No. I specifically made the Djinn hinder the BP/LP for as long as he remained unsummoned, so that an early exit for the Qadi was possible and he wouldn't cost two days of lynching at a time when he is essentially just an RI with a vengeance. It was more that once he had the Djinn out, he would be near-invulnerable.

I even said in the day story:

Serc (JA) is Tarkin the Bitterhearted,

where for everyone else I used past tense, no-one discovered that yet, I think ;)

Yeah, he could be quite the moneymaker. The thing is, in that case, both you (and Galain now) are very vulnerable to the Nepeth, where one Retainer (even a cheap one) would give you a BP. Originally, I envisioned the Merchants to buy loads and loads of retainers and go into a battle of attrition with the Nepeth, the Khanate providing goods to the market and killing people through water loss. It turns out a bit different, and I am quite curious who will survive, now ;)

how are we suppose to buy retainers when we only have enough leadership to have one?

One is enough :p And Galain hasn't got one, for example...

Well I was fully indending to sacrafice the one that I was going to train so I had money to do other things. I was at least correct in assuming that if I update my character I could have more than one retainer. I guess we will never know what may have been? I was actually looking to use the Human Shield abiliy on a regular basis once I had money to spend. I should have realized that a retainer would have been the cheaper alternative as it is more permanent than the 1 day BP even if it was slightly more expensive to first purchase.

I guess I misread that part. I thought the BP and LP went away after the Djinn was summoned not before.

Question - can Nepeth be recruited? Even though we are being hunted like scum in this game im guessing all our abilities are offensive and probably not recruit abilities.

Also, will I know a general is no longer Nepeth if I communicate with him? I noticed in your PM with me and Korea you gave our titles bit no faction.

So, did I just spill the beans to a team member who might have been recruited? ;)

I'm reasonably sure there's one Nepeth in the top 3 (people I remeber posting content), and 1 in the lower 3 (people who are pretty much non-existant)

at the moment, I'm feeling that Galain's comment about "I wish one of HP or Omtose died, so that we'd have some clarity" seems a bit scummy. if I was to pick the quiet scum, I'd say Sukul.

You can always do what I do in these types of situations..... Only post pictures or songs or.... for the next day. It helps pass the day and pisses almost everyone else off. So really it is a double win...

Or attack anyway and we can coordinate using Link Forces to communicate. Do you have Link Forces as an ability? I'll be back in a couple.hours but my PM implies I'm the center.general so more.info you can give me the more I can work.with. I don't know if we four are the only Nepeth but we are all generals.

Oh man, the Nepeth are looking good right now. I do hope that Omtose and Galain pursue their Sukul suspicions.

And I had to laugh at D'riss posting why he hasn't received any of my loot after killing me - YOU KILLED A POOR ORPHAN BOY, WHAT DID YOU EXPECT ME TO HAVE?!!

Dead HD,

Sorry you had to die so quickly in your triumphant return to mafia. Fortunately, you were a member of that damn rabble constantly raiding my trading routes. Good riddance.

Dear Khell,

Sorry that you had to die without me ever finding out what you could do. Some kind of summoner? Anyway, sucks to be you. I'll see you in heaven soon, I'm sure.

Dear JA,

Sorry that I decided that you were the scummiest. Everyone really hopped on, should have been obvious. Ah well, one less power role to murderize me. See you in heaven shortly, representative of the Qadi.

Dear Twelve,

Sorry about not voting until after you did. You were the caravan leader, so you most likely had better powers than me. My title may have passed to you, even. I wouldn't have acted otherwise even if I had known JA's dangerous effect.

I'm selfish, you see.

Sincerely,
your friendly newb

Hmmm, so the caravan on the market has a water consumption of 2, but mine has a water consumption of 1. If I were to buy one off the market, would it change to a water consumption of 1 because I am awesome like that, or is it a matter of where the caravan comes from changes its stats?

matters where it comes from ;)

Ah I see, I am the only one smart enough to use camels in the desert. Idiots in the free market make their caravans out of zebras.

Zebras have a consumption of 4, ostrich's have a consumption of 2. But yes you are correct in your reasoning.

Khell here - in his first ever time as Path-Shaper. All ye mortals tremble.

The Liosan/Anomandaris (White Foals) lover conversation thus far:

Liosan, on 04 January 2012 - 02:55 PM, said:

Hello Anomandaris. I am your Tar-Kahn and Shinrei.

I can apparently set up permanent communications more than once, so as of Day 1 I am also in communication with another White Foal Raider. (Omtose)

Which means, with 10 people left we form a nice little 3 person voting bloc, and have some information about teammates.

Unless of course one of you is a traitor or something... I'll just have to take that chance though, otherwise this ability wouldn't be that worthwhile.

Anomandaris, on 04 January 2012 - 03:12 PM, said:

Nope, not a traitor at all. I am GH and just one of your raiders. And did one of you raid me last night? I got my stores cleaned out, and unless there are more black raiders in the game, I think one of you accidentally stole from me >.< .

Also, just to let you know, I think Galain is a big bad with magic. I raided him last night and obtained the following:

1 Magic, 1 Slaves, 1 Livestock, 1 Metal, 2 Water

Anomandaris, on 04 January 2012 - 05:22 PM, said:

Scratch that, apparently there was a mixup, and those goods are from HP.

So other than me getting raided, did someone raid another person and if so, what was their loot so we can start identifying people.

Liosan, on 04 January 2012 - 11:16 PM, said:

I raided you last night....Sorry. I got your jewelry.

I AM a girl character after all - I must've liked that jewelry or something. Sorry.....

I was originally going to raid Eloth, but he died so I had to quick think of someone else at the end of night.

Anomandaris, on 04 January 2012 - 11:25 PM, said:

Haha. No problem. Though, did Omtose complete a raid successfully? If so, what were the results?

Liosan, on 04 January 2012 - 11:27 PM, said:

He went to bed with his raid on Telas, who died, and he didn't include a backup in his prov. So you're the only good raider amongst us, saddled with a couple of idiots ;) (well, mine was an honest mistake - Omtose should've been more careful).

Anomandaris, on 04 January 2012 - 11:29 PM, said:

So did you or Omtose get fleeced for tax money? If neither of you did, then probably we have one more weathy khanate out there.

Anomandaris, on 04 January 2012 - 11:34 PM, said:

Also, if you want a sure raid, I think HP would be a good bet again, but I figure our best bet is to raid as many people as possible and flesh out who has what storage profile (maybe giving us roles).

I am raiding Galain tonight and my provisional is KA, OE, and then Emur. I will let you know if this changes.

Liosan, on 04 January 2012 - 11:34 PM, said:

Well, my PM says my father is out gathering the hoard.

However, I got taxed last night so I'm the best we've got apparently. I am somewhat equipped for battle, but I seem to be better at raiding.
I wouldn't count on my battle abilities to get things done - we gotta lynch Nepath to win this.

At least you've got a little info on Korv, and we have our 3 selves eliminated, so we should hopefully be able to figure something out. Odds are one of us is probably going to be attacked though.

I also need money - I'm putting your jewelry up for sale....

Anomandaris, on 04 January 2012 - 11:39 PM, said:

That's fine about the jewelry (to our great nation....tribe...group....)

Also, It was Hood's Path, not Korv.

Liosan, on 04 January 2012 - 11:44 PM, said:

Oh, ok - whoops

Omtose is going to make a raiding list of the 5 people not counting HP to raid - you and I will try to coordinate with that so we don't raid the same people.

Liosan, on 05 January 2012 - 02:43 AM, said:

Ok, right now Galain is going to be Omtose's #1 target for raiding. I'll let you know if that changes.

I like D'riss as being someone important, so I'll go for him with Korv as a backup.
