I don't think we'll know who purchases things, so it will be hard to track that. (Correct me if I'm wrong, please)

yeah it seems that that is anonymous (unless you catch someone doing 2 day actions then you know they have the water clock or you fail to assassinate someone you know has low CS then you know they might have gotten the djinn, etc)

edit: added "fail to"

Okay I was skimming some of PS posts to see what is on the market and I don't see anything. Maybe he doesn't post that everytime he does a vote count. Still trying to get a grip on the phases and new mechanics.

Just had a thought regarding the armour. Even if someone put it on the market someone would have to buy it, if they waited to do this at the right time then they could receive the 2000 dinari but someone else get the armour. It seems strange that someone would do that. It seems a waste.

The way I"m interpreting the contract, I think someone just has to put it on the market and they get the 2000 offered by the contract. They could put it up with a price of a million dinari and they"d win the contract but be assured no one can actually buy it so they"d get it back as unsold at Dusk.

Well, "trying to catch up" was a bit optimistic.

I think I get the phases, I start to understand the Bazaar, I'm not certain I get what actions are, and I finally saw the tiny bit with the victory conditions.

I feel a bit like when I play a RPG, I don't care about the story I just want to get some loot and the snazziest armor.

To me an RPG is all about the story and the rest is just filler. Though getting the loot and best gear does make getting to the end of the story much easier so I will forgive you that comment

Yep, I agree, I would say not all the factions (or even most of them) are present here.

At a guess, to judge from the OP, I would say Nepeth army faction (rather than the court etc.) has representatives in this game; the Qadi of Loathing, Tarkin the Bitter-Hearted is here also; the White Foal Clan of the Khanates; and some people from the Houses of Agreement.

Of the last, I'm not sure whether to think that they're all from the House of Magic like Delat (who we know is here because of the scene where he bought the Tax Collector title), or representatives from various houses.

Okay I agree with you on the Nepeth army faction and the House of Agreement members but where do you get the Qadi of Loathing and Tarkin the Bitter-Hearted or the While Foal Clan of the Khanates? Might have to reread the OP yet again.

Semantic opinions? RPGs have item collection and character stats, as does this game, so it is indeed like an RPG and if you want story well the first post has plenty

So do you think Silencer is the one selling the sheep because he has so much or he's buying them because he is into that sorta thing?

(note this is just a NZ joke not meta :D )

So let's look at the Bazaar

. It looks like someone snapped up one of the Livestock. That doesn't really give us much info, Livestock could be used for a number of things.

It also looks like someone undercut the 2 weapons by 8000 dinari. Quite the undercut. This makes me think that maybe the people who need weapons aren't yet ready to purchase them, instead going for something else. Probably water, that seems like the biggest limiter to those who can get armies. Although we've also seen armour, so maybe the attackers started with enough weapons, and only need to buy armour as of now, and weapons will become more important later after retainers have died. Or it means nothing.

No one has purchased any retainers, not that I'm surprised on the first day.

No one has purchased any items since the last purchase of a waterclock, and the remaining title is still available.

It seems the contract has been taken down. Whoever put it up must have been spooked by the easy fulfillment of the contract. Makes sense.

@Tapper:

Is it considered meta to make a case based on the time someone was posting in thread vs the updates of the Bazaar? I don't intend to, but that seems like it could play a MAJOR part in this game.

Hopefully yes or we"ll be encouraging lurking to keep your purchases/offerings secret but I"ll wait to see what Tapper says. This is generally always a concern in games with ironman actions

Well, it is meta.
The question is, can you use it? Yes you can, at the least in your notes and deductions and opinions, even when it isn't an element that I'd like to see pop up as an argument in cases (fyi, I dislike meta in cases in this game :D), also because there is a significant downtime when I am not modding.

Question 2: can something be done against it? Absolutely. This gameday, we have had a rather incredibly long time in which people can put goods on the market because we still lack 1 player. On the next game day, maybe people can send in their sales early on, so I can update the bazaar in bulk?
