It is a numbers game. So either scum for whatever reason didn't or couldn't change who they wanted to kill or Emurlahn threw his partner under the bus in a gambit to win the whole thing. With 9 players left it is too early for scum to try this move especially when they sacrifice one of their own. So that leaves the first senario.

this just looks so bad to me, he is clearly a symp wishing his killers were doing something else and just flat out stating what they should be at.

Yoshitara reigned in at his gates upon seeing the approach of seven horsemen, bearing the mark of servants to the shogun. He grimaced. Glancing at his small son, he realized that the current maneuvering between Hojo and Ashikaga meant suspicion had reached him as well. It was not surprising really, no one was safe from the politics of the day. A fleeting thought made him wonder if only he had been more agressive, he may have avoided this. With one last glance at the horseman he nodded to the servants who moved to intercept and delay. He swept the boy into his arms and galloped back to his inner courtyard. Gathering his family to him in the garden where early peonies were blooming, he slew them, one by one. After the last of his blood lay dead, he took his short sword and laid open his own throat.

The servant hummed tunelessly as he mixed the hot water and tea leaves. Placing the cup on a tray garnished with the purple Iris he scurried down the inner passageways of the keep to Jundouji's rooms. Placing the tray on the ground, he called the serving woman over. His job done, he retreated to the kitchens, daydreaming of how he would soon be relieved to rejoin his young wife and daughter.

The woman took the tray, and kneeling, opened the shoji doors. Carefully placing the tray within, she moved inside and gently pushed the doors closed. Bowing dutifully, she served her lord his tea. When he seemed content and had nodded off, she repeated the proper etiquette and escaped to the corridor. She smiled to herself, thinking of the simple gossip she would spread to the other servants about how easily Jundouji slept after a simple cup of tea.

Later, when Masamoto found out that his son and heir had drank poison, he ordered the death of all servants at work in that wing of the castle as well as their extended families in the town below.

Anomandaris (drinksinbars) is dead. He was Jundouji Ashikaga, loyal to the shogunate.

Sobe exclaimed, exasperated as he mounted the steep staircase. Halfway up he pulled the parchment from his sleeve and read the paper again. "....formal acknowledgment of fealty....must submit report...cannot accept second-hand missives...must be present at formal audience once a month... "Gah! It's all too much!" he thought. At the last few steps he replaced the scroll in his sleeve, and in his distracted state stepped on the hem of his kimono. For a split second he felt pure panic, before his final thoughts calmed him. "At least I don't have to attend those meetings anymore..." Lying in a heap with a broken neck effectively removed Sobe from all duties to his Kamakura kubo.

Meanas (PeanutButta) has been modkilled. He was Sobe Kunichika, loyal to the shogunate.
