I'm definitely out unfortunately. Flying Manky visit to see the family on 10th and that's it for me. This Christmas, my Malaz friends come second to my family. If you knew my family, you'd be offended by that but you guys can't psychologically torment me like they can. I know it won't be any good without me, but you should at least try to have some fun, okay?
Awww but i stayed extra hairy for the meet up....
Is that just at the full moon, Pathos? I can't recall mention of lycanthropic engineers in Pretoria

The prospect of viewing the natural wonder that is Pathos' pelt has sold me on the idea. I'm thinking of bringing a camera crew from Ripley's Believe It Or Not to document his winter plumage.
If an opinion contrary to your own makes you angry, that is a sign that you are subconsciously aware of having no good reason for thinking as you do. If some one maintains that two and two are five, or that Iceland is on the equator, you feel pity rather than anger, unless you know so little of arithmetic or geography that his opinion shakes your own contrary conviction. … So whenever you find yourself getting angry about a difference of opinion, be on your guard; you will probably find, on examination, that your belief is going beyond what the evidence warrants. 17th should be perfect! My work stuff is all the weekend before, so won't have to wander drunkenly off halfway like last year. Looking forward to it already

If it goes like previous years, people meet around lunchtime somewhere convenient for those arriving by bus/train/tram and I think they have lunch in the pub (I'm always late so have no idea!) and then we drink all afternoon and into the evening until one of the following happens (and they have all happened!):
1. Everywhere closes and we have to leave
2. People have to rush off for the last train/bus/tram home
3. We couldn't be bothered organising it properly and can't all sit down together for dinner so we leave before we die of starvation
4. Trem gets so drunk that he can no longer understand English
5. We're too drunk to carry on
There was an attempt to wander around the Christmas market one year but it's too busy and it turns out that boys don't like shopping! Who knew? You can expect it to be mostly pub, pub, pub, pub, home (possibly with food somewhere but you can never be too sure and real Northerners drink through the hunger anyway).

Right then, let's get some confirmation of whose coming then, kids.
Likely scenario is to meet somewhere we can all find like Kro Piccadilly between 12 and 1 and then go on from there. The normal proceedure is that we try to secure food at around 5ish. Any ideas are appreciated.

If I'm still in Manchester then, I'm in. Will know in the next few weeks.
It is perfectly monstrous the way people go about nowadays saying things against one, behind one's back, that are absolutely and entirely true.

Unless an airline strike or some stupid volcano in Iceland mess up my flight schedule, I'll be there.
The problem with people who have no vices is that generally you can be pretty sure they're going to have some pretty annoying virtues.
