Looks like you guys are all doing an awesome job. Cue me applauding those who made 50k in a standing ovation.

Yeah, applause from me too. I won't make 50k, but I've made solid progress and will hopefully get my first draft finished before the end of the year -- woo-hoo!
It is perfectly monstrous the way people go about nowadays saying things against one, behind one's back, that are absolutely and entirely true.

Probably not going to make the full 50k this year, but hopefully will finish in around 40-45k this year, which is an improvement on last year (though still not as good as my first year's win). But, more importantly, got back into the WIP and moved the plot forward a nice few leaps and bounds as well as clarified the ideas in my head.

So all in all, I'm pretty pleased with the progress (and broke 100k overall, which made me grin).

whew, so, had a bit of jet lag from writing at such a feverish pace. just started reading the thing today. lol'd at all the stupid grammar and spelling mistakes from not editing anything as i went. one slight inconsistency that's barely noticeable also popped up, but not a big deal.

it's gonna be weird going through this all again. my first finished work of any great length, 60k words, and i'm proud of getting it done. definitely coming back next year :p

I honestly don't know if I'll do it next year, I'll have to wait and see how things are going and if I have another decent (or semi decent) story in me. :D
