Started a new sculpt last night.
Not even close to finished, I not too sure about it atm. Looking for feedback.
Also, does he have a tail?
Armature I started with.

i think you're close to getting the head just right. with the wide mouth and four eyes in diamond position.

I could be wrong, but isn't it four arms and two legs, not the other way around...?

Neat work. i look fwd to seeing it finished,

I pictured him looking much more toad like. From his description and the Sirith demon in MOI I picture him as built around a giant deadly mouth.

Thats really cool ;) as far as the limbs are concerned i've always imagined him to basically have six hands that he used to either walk on or grip/fight with depending on what the situation called for. I like the size of the head although it might be worth opening his mouth further to make it clear its a weapon of its own.

Yeah, he's got six hands. Cool iterative process here. This is going to look really good and probably go over the top if you add a horseback rider rearing back in fear at some point.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

Loving it.

think the rear 'legs need to look more like the arms tho'. And possibly shorten the torso... in a key scene in TB some snacks bandits think he's a weird looking dog, just before...

Shortening him was next on the list.
All his arms look like arms now, and he's got some teeth.
So I just need to shorten him up then texture him and I think I'll be finished. Progress shots soon.

Nice, I like the hands especially. I always did imagine him being more squat and with a larger mouth so its good that you're shortening him.
I would not want a Greyfrog going ballistic on me and my soldier friends, thats for sure.

Are you sure he's attacking? Looks more like he's about to go to first base with Scillara.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

The operation to shorten him was a bit harder than I thought.
Wrecked 3 of his hands and snapped the wire holding his legs to main frame.
But I think it was worth it, he's about 5cm shorter now. Any shorter and he won't balance,
as it was I had to trim a heap of clay from his head and chest.

Just looking at these photos, I think I might have to move his head down, squash it on to his shoulders.
Don't think he's squat enough yet. Might help the balance as well.

Just an observation: the eye closest to his nose is higher than the others.

NIce attempt with a very difficult pose. It's so hard to capture such a dynamic creature. I like the direction you're heading ;)

the alterations were well worth it i think, he's looking a lot more natural now.

First base? I think Greyfrog's going straight to third.

hey CN, your sculptures looking good.

Didnt wanna say it before as i thought you'd work around to it but after all the changes i think it might be best to further change from a dogs haunches to a frogs wide spread squat at the back. Human like legs might also work, as long as they angle outward at the knee.

Its the best way to get a squat feel to your grey frog. Also maybe try giving him a manly beer belly. Except it'd be more a blood belly.

His belly is coming, I'll try the frog legs first before anything else, tho it means I have to rebuild his feet again. Be the 4th time now.
I just decided my next one won't have any fiddly bits like hands and feet.
