Malazan Empire: question to the end of elster. - Malazan Empire

hi i am new here. im very sorry about my bad english, but i come from germany and its long ago i learned it in school. and now my questions. i hope the names of the chars in german are the same than in english. what happens to elster and the bridgeburner (in german they called brückenverbrenner). at the end of the last book i read, the are dead. will they come back. what do you know or what do you think? hmm if i think about this, i dont believe that ne names are the same. elster is the seargant of dujek his first man. you know what i mean. please tell me his name is in english. he, the fast ben and paran are bridgeburner. i hope you understand what i mean. thx for your answer.
