Apparently 1500 of these will be auctioned on Ebay and the proceeds will go to the Micheal J Fox Foundation. So if any of you are so inclined, purchase a pair and send em right over to me.

The reason they're so expensive is that it takes 1.21 jiggawatts per pair to manufacture.

I would totally buy these (not that I'm going to spend the thousands of dollars to bid mind you, but if they were regularly available) with only two issues:

a. They ARE pretty ugly overall design-wise, so they'd likely LOOK pretty ridiculous...so I'd most likely keep them on a shelf.

b. with only 1500 pairs out there and me walking my city streets a lot...the chances I'd be rolled by the first group of sneaker-collecting thugs I came across would be REALLY high, so wearing them outside on a normal day would be a no-go.

Secret issue c. They don't have power laces. Sorry, but if you are only going to produce 1500 pairs Nike...make power laces, use magnets...I don't care, just get it done!

Other than that they are Uber-sweet!
