Don King, intergallactic bamboozling king of entertainment, agent of the stars and the least incorruptable man in the known multiverse snaps into view, a leopard print suit and green shirt complementing his fizzling, flameshaped shock of white hair making him the height of fashion in the Andromeda galaxy and an abhorration everywhere else.

"Ladiens and gentlebeings, the fighters who will maim, suffer, bleed,hemorrhage and die for your entertainment will now be drawn into pairs. To this end, we have invited some of our stellar stars of slaying of the past! To draw the severed heads which contain the the 1-4 seeds, I present to you: Morgoth!"
A gangly, pale, blonde human, whiskey bottle tucked protectively under one armpit in a badly fitting suit ascends the stairs. "hello everyone," he mumbles.

"For the amputated appendages that will show places 5 to 8, I give you: The Mansplitter and its valiant crew! Mansplitter, please use your lesser claw when handling those arms, tentacles and legs, they snap easily."
"For the Shrimperor!" A massive crustacean wallows onto the stage.

"For the remaining eight who make up the top favorites with my bookies, and none of them will take a dive, I guarantee you: here is the fey of fury, the one and only Ben Doran. He may be small, but he is vicio... NO BEN, NO, I wasn't making fun of your stature, honestly. Put that pot of gold away!"

A red haired beardless fairy is being barely contained by the bars of the cage he is in, giving the crowd the finger. "Isn't he adorable, ladies and gentlemen?" King purrs.

"Finally, for the rabble that make up the hopefuls with a shot at victory that is deemed less than 1:50 gazillion, ladies and gentlethings, the King of Booty, Duke Nukem! He may be out of gum, but we lured him here to take his pick of a hundred out of a thousand babes, each with a contestant's name trampstamped on her ass - these lucky one hundred will make up the field!"

A massive cigar chewing shape enters the stage. "COME TO DADDY, BABES."
"Oh Duke," they collectively sigh, and jump the man, who promptly disappears in a writhing mass of unclad limbs.
"wait, that was not in the script," King protests.
"I CAN'T CHOOSE, AND THE DUKE IS MAN ENOUGH FOR ALL OF THEM."
"He is," a moan from a thousand mouths confirms like the most wicked choir ever.
"Oh well," King says. "let's add them all to the mix. That's 900 more killers on the loose for your entertainment, folks!"

I suggest a re-hash of the deathmatch concept. Instead of tournament style lets have a champion vs contender rolling battle. We vote a character in as champion (highest seed). The champion can pick the location and backstory of the duel. Then interested parties battle. Anyone that can take 3 opponents down is ranked up as king of the setting and elects a new setting and or environment. Think this could be fun and have a lower chance of fizzling out as its instant votes by deadline.
