When reading back, there is also the interesting snippet that HP argued about blocks. Now, I somehow registered that but didn't do anything with it since it would still be viable in my HP = Lu vote. However.... He clearly knew what a block was and how it worked. But he can't be the Lu PM. So, I then have to ask myself.... Am I looking at the Xia PM? Might be he worked it out by himself, though.

Atrahal - I don't have a good read on him but if I had to guess Civil/Military official but barbarian wouldn't surprise me.

That Galain lynch came out of leftfield, with good targets in Karosis, Thyrllan, Telas and Tennes all ignored. Here's a rundown of how it went down:

If you give someone a chance to heal themselves, they'll take it. It gives you the security of not having to worry about being NKed, and everyone likes that for the simple reason that deep down, everyone thinks of themselves as marginally more valuable than your average team member. In a faction game it's actually true - your team suffers more if you die than if a random player dies. That's why most people played cautiously at the beginning, and a lot of them are still playing cautiously now, IMO.

As for Shin, well remember he doesn't know that all the Yan have been moved to Xin Du. My hope is that he has identified He Fei as the location that gives him the best chance of hitting an enemy (since it adjoins both rival Kingdom's starting squares) and is aiming to get there. I guess we'll see what he does tomorrow, since he's about to become the sole surviving Lu (Thyrllan is getting whacked by the Ma Chao Rebels tonight, IIRC).

That's another interesting thing - no-one has chosen to guard anyone if they can do something else. I suspect that's because of the pairings of options for Civil/Military Officer. If you have a choice between Guard and Kill, then you'll pick Kill unless you have extra knowledge about a player (or you're acting in tandem with someone else). Why keep an an enemy in the game when you could take a pop at getting rid of him instead, right? But the fact is that teams do need Guards in this game - they are the counter to self-healers. Unfortunately, I don't think anyone without a self-heal ability has realised that's what is going on when their NAs fail, so they're not trying to guard. Plus, you'd need some off-thread comms to pull it off...
