One thing really left me puzzled about the Crippled God - at the beginning Kisswhere's happily flirting with Spax, and then suddenly she's on a wagon recovering from a broken leg.

Might be a very obvious answer to this, but I've sent all the previous books to my sister so can't really read up. Or else I might've missed a paragraph or two somewhere...

She broke her leg at the end of DoD, but that didn't stop her from flirting with Spax.

in fact, when she's flirting with him, they discuss whether she can still sheboing despite her busted leg, iirc.
