That was a great scene to be sure.

Im not sure how random(but Im sure alot of people have made threads about this subject over the yrs and Im not trying to start a debate or war lol) but as I just read this series Im feeling compelled after reading worryworts post that I think Molly will wind up with Ramierz.

I've always thought they'd make a great couple :-D

It's been hinted at more than once, tho Molly also had a weird bad-boy attraction to Thomas for a while, in between his attempts to eat her.

I had a quick rethru of the last chapter of GS to follow up on something that was nagging at me from the COLD DAYS promo chapter....

...don't worry, i won't spoil that here...

...but a quick look turned into a an hour re-reading a pile of bits and pieces from this book and i think i may have to move it up my list of dresdencrack faves considerably... possibly even to #3 after DEAD BEAT and CHANGES.

Exactly my ranking. It really is a phenomenal book and the return to powerlessness after the wild abandon that was Changes makes it more personal and more "original Dresden" to my brain.

All that and i have difficulty thinking of another line in any Dresden book (or most books) that hit me quite as hard as 'Chewbacca is with her.'.

And in a series full of moments of awesome and glorious one-liners, Harry telling the Angel of Death 'If you're here for Father Forthill, we're going to throw down.' is probably one of my favorites.

The second one just warps my mind... Dresden is 'dead', he's a disembodied ghost and more or less powerless at that point, and he's telling the Angel of Death... the ANGEL. of DEATH... as in God is real and this is one of His primary agents Angel of Death, 'I know what you are and I don't care. You don't get the old guy without going thru me first. No, really.'.

That scene... words, they fail me.

I cried when we find out where exactly Chewbacca and the girl were. It's the perfect place and the perfect tribute to what Dresden has done for everyone. Seeing Mouse acknowledge Dresden was amazing.

This kind of writing is why I don't mind Butcher taking as long as he wants to write these books, but am yet amazed by his pace. Martin may have the bigger fanbase and the stauncher defenders, but nothing he does is as emotionally affecting or amazing as this.

Fuck it. I'm rereading GS before COLD DAYS drops.

@Amphi - Agreed on all fronts. Butcher doesn't do too badly #s wise tho'. His books still make the bestseller lists.

@QT - i see your GS re-read and raise you CHANGES and then GS re-read before CD hits.

Haha I had the exact same thought after reading them lines, currently at Dead Beat so not long to go now!

And I shed a man tear at the Chewbacca line.

Just one fix, one fix, one fix.

Now I've got Storm Front loaded up n my e-reader.

Rereading the last few posts made me realize I (apparently) remember almost nothing from the end of GS.
