Oh yeah, it's completely understandable, what with leading Uruguay to the Copa America win over the summer. I just wish he was fit enough to include now.

Interesting article on the BBC sport site about UK fitness and coaching methods being pretty Jurassic in approach, and potentially contributing to the fatigue problem: http://news.bbc.co.u...ll/14438073.stm

As the defending champion, I would like to give you all a tip to give you guys a helping hand in the forthcoming weekend:

Everton-Tottenham, that's where the gold lies. Pile on those players. I suggest three from each team.

Funnily enough, that may make Everton and Tottenhom players very valuable in the week when they do play, as there will be chances of double points in one week!

I've just completely revamped my team. Also started paying some attention to the 'Scout' tab on the site, which has some interesting speculation on potential player line-ups, highlights some players coming into form or who might be ignored due to injury last season.

may i inquire if anyone puts any faith in an all english frontline? Been wanting to join so I ran a few sims for the season in PES and found my bargain brazilian strike force shockingly weak. I am disappoint.

Well, I risked all on captaining injury-doubt Drogba at the beginning of last season, and it basically won me the league then and there.

So this time I may risk twice as much by going for both injury-doubts Suarez and Aguero - there's no way this won't work out!

While Taraabt was player of the season in the championship last year... he has played in the premiership before, for Spurs, and was completely out of his depth. I'm sure he's improved from some time in a first team for a year, but I really wouldn't trust him myself.

Anyone else have to face the disaster of not being able to log on on Friday or Saturday morning?

Monday: Ok, team sorted!

Thursday: I'm bored, maybe I'll play around with my FPL team. Ok, bored of this, I'll fix it tomorrow.

Friday: Eh?

Saturday Morning: Oh gods noooooooooooo!

All I could remember about my team was that I had put Gervinho in and possibly he'd become my captain. Cue Gervinho red card. Luckily it turned out the armband had gone to Drogba - who I don't even remember putting in my team!

Shocker of a start though - only Given and Hangeland got anything for me.

I've had good points from Given, Cahill, and ok-ish from Hangeland. Still waiting for the result today between Chelsea and Swansea, where I'm hoping Dzeko will start and be eager to cement a first team place alongside Aguero. Total points 37 so far.

You have to click on 'view points' which is just above your team. It's a really rubbish system.

Oh yeah... well, Cahill has done well, but other than that it's not been so amazing. 22 points from 5 players.

Well, how annoying. Saturday morning I subbed out Gabbidon for Cahil and it didn't go through for some reason.

Cahill got 11 points.

Gabbidon scored an own-goal.
