Hello my name is Atrahal, and I am a low poster.

I have no way to change that. I have very little time to put into this game.To be honest I didn't think I would live this long in the game anyway being a low poster. I joined the game so D'rek would have the numbers to run this. I'm hoping to have more time after this weekend to play. That is the best I can do. RL has been a real pain in the ass around here and I have to get a lot of stuff done in the next 48 to 72 hrs that will take away from the game. I have been trying my best just keep up to date with the thread on my phone. The best case so far today that I can see is on Osseric, and I will vote accordingly now because I don't think I will be back by end of day.

Vote Osseric

That's a depressing post.

You complain? That's a useless vote on me I can't even discuss.

I have 5 minutes, I see no one would like to encourage people like Atrahal to talk more but he has come on and posted since, also HP has gone away after the little heat he has had on him. It may be prudent to pressure these people we know next to little about, however, I like Silanah's case on Osseric and may vote there, it would also be interesting to see if Meanas has more to say about his slip up.

Emur, one of these days please make a shorter version of your case, because I'm re-reading it now, and it's a damn mess. You go through all the days connecting me to Meanas, Silanah, Ruse, with also Sorrit? Tennes?

You're just going through the sequence of votes and comment that it all connects.

Two comments:
- You might want to revise your vision of events in the light of the creaming I'm getting from Silanah, my number 1 symp according your scenario
- The big bosses for you are myself and Meanas. Why are you so focused on myself them? Today, Meanas tried to tell us he thought he and everyone else know the PM, not the Emperor. That doesn't ping you a bit, considering he's already big evil in your eyes?

I think Silanah has information we don't, if she's a finder then so be it, she is saying your an emperor and i'd be inclined to go ahead with that. If she proves right then tomorrow's another story

I have been to work all day and can't be bothered reading the thread right now. I'm sorry but I'm a little too exhausted in all honesty. So, I'm going to sleep and wake up bright and early tomorrow to dazzle you all with my wit and charm.

my case was that there were 3 people behind the ongoing lynches, with a few "yes men" backing them up. Tennes emerged as a maybe later on in day 3. I presented sequence of posts showing how you guys directed the agenda of the thread.

in this, i cannot be sure which one of you is a leading personality.

I re-evaluated my case based on each of my suspect's reactions. you were the only one who tried to shrug it off. then you went on to counter-attack me, to the point of strawmanning. is there any wonder I decided to vote you?

sorritt and Meanas, otoh, looked at my case and went "well, this warrants looking into"

my purpose was to stop the one-sided discussion. I feel i've accomplished that--the very fact that there are various lynch candidates speaks for that

I don't disagree, but in a game like this I would look at the "yes men" instead. I would invert what you see the attitude of power roles and peons. For me, peons shake the shit, power roles say "yesssssir" if said shit doesn't touch them.

Anyways, off to bed like I said.

EDIT: And honestly, Emperors directing the agenda of the thread on day 1?? That's suicidal.

this is an unsustainable argument. it devolves into WIFOM, and this is exactly what Gamelon got lynched for.

to add, we've had plenty of merc games where the leader charges in head first. by drawing pressure, he identifies other factions for his team, and helps them to find each other.

your own opinion aside, it's a tactic that's proven its viability before, so we can't discard it.

Checking in from the library.

It was a genuine mistake, which I didn't explain well enough in the edit. I had a brain melt and for some reason was of the belief that officials in the factions knew the PM, not the emperor (that is, I'd got it into my head that I'd been told my PM by Path-Shaper, rather than my emperor). I realised my error as soon as I posted it.

I know a great deal might be made of this, but this is along the same lines (ironically) as Emurlahn's comma-gate.

I wouldn't say this error is anything like Emur's comma typo, at least in terms of scale. The typo seemed to be a physical mishap, whereas the Meanas post involved information that is considered by many to be false. Whether or not it was just a misunderstanding, or planting false information, or just a mistake, it undoubtedly casts greater suspicion on Meanas. A dangerous situation, considering the case presented against both Meanas and Osseric.

I would like to go through some of the arguments once more before voting again. It will have to wait until after I finish my business in the library.

Okay that was an awful lot of reading and I have just caught up with it. One thing that struck me as somewhat suspicious after the cases Emur made and the votes slowly starting to be directed towards Osseric was the vote Sorrit put on Atrahal, that seemed like a very clumsy attempt to divert some attention away from Osseric, especially since Emur already pointed out a possible connection between then. Now that it is becoming more likely though she has come back and voted Osseric, possibly trying to distance?

I felt a little suspicious that Ossercs first reaction to Emur's accusations were somewhat mocking and not taking them very seriously until others started to look more closely at them, something that he has accused Emur himself of in the past but on the whole I am unsure if he is in fact an emperor, maybe a PM or some other power role?

On the whole business of blocking votes and the like I wonder if it has something to do with a newly activated ability or role of some kind? The timing is suspicious since it occurs right after the usurper gains his recruiting abilities or possibly if there is some kind of empress involved it has something to do with her? It would explain why someone wanted to test it out. The only other thing aside from a vote not counting was that maybe Tiam herself had been granted it in some way but I think that is highly unlikely.

The whole Meanas slip up is interesting but i'm struggling to see how this implicated him, are people suspecting him of being an emperor or a PM based on his misunderstanding?

people are accusing him of being a warlord. and thus being unfamiliar with how the Middle Kingdom players' roles would be structured.

Ah, that makes a lot more sense. Hmm a possibility of being a barbarian then, interesting, it is possibly the most concrete (thought calling this concrete is a bit of a stretch) evidence we seem to have so far of a possible warlord.

In the summer of Jian Xing 6 (by the Yan calendar), Lu, Yan and Xia were all engaged in battle for northern Jing. Eventually, the Yan forces around Xiang Yang withdrew, leaving Lu and Xia to fight over the city. The next afternoon, clear and sunny, saw both Lu and Xia soldiers alike scaling the walls of Xiang Yang. Shortly after noon, news spread like wildfire throughout the city - soldiers on the walls could see hundreds of ships sailing up the Chang Jiang and the Yan army crossing land to meet it at the shore.

The generals of both sides were skeptical, knowing the Yan did not have any such naval force. When the generals themselves panicked upon seeing the fleet, the soldiers threw away their weapons and deserted the city. With no Lu or Xia to witness, the ships came to shore, but not a single reinforcement stepped out. Instead, the entire Yan army boarded this third of Liu Yao's navy and the ships sailed away again...

Only someone with this much power could make this many frittatas without breaking any eggs.
