Malazan Empire: What means/who was Andii?? - Malazan Empire

Hello everyone,please don't kill me for that topic,but I hav an important question.
Who/what is Andii??
We know that one of the Tiste races are named after him/it,but what is he/it??

I toppled over this when I re-read GotM and the conversation betwenn Q. Ben and Hairlocke.
They were standing on the Spar of Andii.
So,are the Tiste Andii named Andii just because of the close relationship between Kural Galain and Chaos,or was this Andii a person/ascendant/god???

Any ideas??
