because

{a} time is almost out, and I see value in lynching a controversial low-poster, even if he's not my first choice
{b} the most viable lynch candidate currently
{c} if I'm not crazy and we lost some posts, they had Serc votes in them so I'll compensate for those people not being able to get back online and revote for him

Nvm art {c}, I guess i was a little crazy but not entirely.

Agreed on the card-worthiness, holy crap Tiam!

Couldn't post this earlier cause the forum was down -

--------------
Right now I've got my eye on Tiam, Eloth, and Ano.

Both Eloth and Tiam seem to have it in for Fener - in their votes for Merrid, they spend the entire post talking about Fener and why he should be lynched, but give him a pass because he isn't lynchable..Now Tiam goes to work on a low-poster (Serc) who's been called out by D'riss and Eloth goes back to voting Fener.

View PostEloth, on 14 June 2011 - 02:39 PM, said:

you orreacted to the suggestion of going for low posters claiming its a pet peeve, then to disprove you are in any way attached to merrid you are willing to throw him to the wolves. Considering your claim that you voted me because i didnt care who I voted for, when at the slightest nudge you manage to make yourself a perfectly reasonable lynch, you have the nerve to turn around and vote for merrid simply to prove you werent protecting him. so irrational and mercenary.

vote merrid

we need to lynch everyday and dspite feners play i cannot see him being lynched.

Tryin this on phone. Just remembered night was prob falling during my bedtimes. Excuse my nekkid Ness I came seem to go anon on phone. Lots if discussion today, seemed like good catch of ruse protecting fener. And fener was worried bout low poster hunt.

vote fener

I don't think tiam is cult and though serc hasn't much content I think fener could be cult given the pods match yesterday and ruse post.

Night

I just find the focus on Fener very odd; sure he was a big talker on day 1, but his defense seemed pretty honest imo and the justification for voting him is pretty weak. In Alkend's early post about three low-posters who deserved attention (Merrid, Serc, Fener), he threw the initial vote on Merrid to see where it would go. When Fener and Eloth got into it over the value of voting low-posters, Ruse hadn't even come up in conversation. No one was looking at Ruse, so it doesn't make sense to say that Fener was defending him.... Fener even turned around and voted for the "low-poster" over whom the debate initially started (Merrid). Eloth's later easy vote for Merrid almost looks like he was following along - he deliberately didn't vote while arguing with Fener, but only commits after Fener pretty much ends the discussion by voting Merrid. Honestly up until he voted Fener I was not that suspicious of Eloth, his play seemed pretty clean. But after going back through the thread I find this Fener vote verrrry suspicious.

Eloth also takes the time to say he thinks Tiam isn't cult, which is odd because I am getting a lot of weird vibes from Tiam's play, particularly the request to see everyones VC's without disclosing his own...

View PostD, on 15 June 2011 - 08:39 PM, said:

Anomandaris, I'm confused as to why you jumped on Okaros for voting Tiam. Are you just trying to get a better explanation of his vote, or do you honestly believe that he was jumping onto an easy target? I think fener or possibly eloth would be easier to lynch today than Tiam, since Tiam didn't say anything day 1.

@Alkend - I kind of agree with what Barghast was saying with his vote. He was suspicious of Tiam because he did a near drive-by vote. At least you and I were around do discuss things both on day 1 and day 2. Although Tiam has been more active today, it is kind of odd that it only happened once he started getting some pressure. I maintain that his 'lets all reveal our VC's' was a foolish move. I don't see anyone with interesting or odd VC's doing that this early in the game. I would also like to hear why you think Kalse is not a cultist? I've seen nothing from you really agreeing with him or anything... In fact I can't remember a whole lot of what Kalse has been saying or doing.

I agree with a lot of this. Actually, I agree with a lot of what D'riss has said so far. Anomander's vote looks like major deflection from Tiam, and the irony is that he justifies his vote by saying only cult would use reasoning like "that's something cult would do," when in fact he is doing the same exact thing...

Kalse sticking his neck out to denounce the day 1 lynch seems too ballsy to be cult, but there isn't really much to go on anyway.

---------

So anyway... my intent was to get some discussion going and probably vote Eloth, but I only checked this right before bed and I won't be around at day's end. Doesn't seem like there's a chance of voting anyone else, so

Vote Serc

I think it's important to get a lynch in and I figure some people might miss out on the new deadline like I almost did. Anyway, night.

Ok, by my count there are 2 hours left. One more vote will be the hammer on Serc.

I would be happier to vote Tiam, personally (despite the cool screen shot thing). Mostly because of his play, and also because I felt the speculating there is the possibility he's cult holds some merit. Serc? I don't know, there isn't enough on him so the chances seem greater that I'm just voting off a low-posting member of my own team. Not to mention the fact he's been on, and has done pretty much jack-all to defend himself, which doesn't strike me as a cult leader trying their best to stay alive.

I'll be on until deadline to hammer if needed though.

i here what you are saying, serc hasn't defended himself much at all, which is kind of odd, there has been a few games when the lynchee has not defended themselves, he hasn't even attacked anyone else, none of his posts seem to target anybody else which makes him seem like he is wanting to please everyone. i will be back in a few hours, was hoping to wake up to find day and night resolved. we need the lynch so you may as well hammer and get the cf.

What do you want me to say? That I'm RI and you've got nothing on me other than my low posting? That's fairly obvious I would think. Same as the whole, 'Hey Serc posted after someone talked about them'. So what? I'm not the only who's pretty quiet.

I guess we'll do same again as yesterday then. Nice work folks.

I'm not going to be here for the end of the day, so I shall

Vote Fener

because I still think the way he switched from arguing for to voting against Merrid was weird.

Well, I've waited a bit, and I guess that was good since it gave Serc one more chance to give his say. I'm actually going to leave work early today so I need to lay down now.

Vote Serc

not sure if you need my vote but i am willing to lay it on serc. I dropped on fener not because he was defending ruse, but because ruse deflected from fener in his only post of substance.

I also didnt vote serc last night because they had just posted and were being voted for low posterishness and thought they might join in after i went to bed. sadly they havent really got much more involved.

Serc was king lear, and sib mackern on the Trumpet.

People are still getting restless, paranoia stalks the crew of the Trumpet. Tensions are high and one crew member is only making things worse. Things were going fine until Sib Mackern is caught stealing food. The mob roars and quickly tear him apart.

Here is the post were ruse tries to push day one focus from fener to me and alkend

Well that was fun reading. Nothing like a heated discussion on the differences of day one lynches to get a lynch. I found the discussion more interesting then the train. It seemed that the perceived connection between fener and merrid was pretty minimal. I actually found eloths and Alkends combine drive to have more in common.

I guess we are waiting on the nights resolution. Oh well.

I stated fener was against voting off low posters, one of whom was ruse and who was cult. Thats a mutual back scratch right there between fener and a cf cult and more than deserves a vote over someone who is a low poster or tiam who is in my opinion not cult.

As for tiam, he doesnt strike me as cult, just because i do not find him wierd when you do doesnt make me scummy (a term with no relevance in a faction game really) it just means you are yet to convince me your vibe is correct.

Is the trumpet winning condition have less than ten posts in the game? this is getting surreal.

another amnion dead, the leader of the expidit so behind the scenes we are doing well. if only we can do as well with our lynches. why are people hiding away.

was there a reason you discounted liosan's vote ps?

that is two days in a row we have voted for the trumpet and i was on the beginning of both trains, i am not going to start a train today as my intuition seems off, i am going to listen to various people across the thread and then decide who i think is most likely to be the best vote.
