Doth mine eyes deceive? A vote for night?
Either it's a noob, or PB is testing the willingness of Malazans to keep their long held traditions of lynching day-one night voters.

there is lots of time left, to get to night you need either get a lynch, let the time run out or get the same number of votes for night as you would for a lynch, why on earth would you want to vote for night without getting a lynch
explain yourself good sir
Vote Hood's Path

Probably to drum up discussion of anything.
So, with 15 players I'm guessing 4 scum. Probably paired killers with a couple symps. That's my running assumption for now.

i'm thinking only one killer and one or two symps. Depending on speed of the game that is, with a lynch a day that would be down to 10 by the end of the week, add a kill a night then that leaves us with only five or six left by then they could have majority or it would be d day if we do not catch a killer.
"drum up discussion" it could be. it cannot be overlooked I remember one of my first games voting night was taboo and whoever did it was a sure lynch, there is no better day one argument for a lynch than a person voting night.

I don't disagree. And, there are a couple new players who might not know that it's kind of a death-knell, but anybody else would/should.
You could be right mechanically, but paired-killers is pretty standard for low TMDI's so one lucky find/guard doesn't insta-lose for scum.
Edit: x-post @GL

Opening post lists two scum. Unusual to list two scum if one is a symp. And a single-scum game can be over on day one - which is much worse than d-day by the end of this week, imo. I'd hazard paired scum with one kill between them. Fifteen players I wouldn't be surprised if there was a symp too, but that's just going to confuse everyone, seeing as they CF inno, so no point panicking about symps.
Presuming three scum, 1 lynch and 1 kill per cycle, it will take at least four game-days (assuming my maths is OK...it's been a long day, I'm not functioning at 100%) to end the game, which is about normal. Two scum it takes five minimum, which is a long game. Especially if we can't get a lynch at some point.
Anyway, hello everyone. Speedy thing goes in, speedy thing goes out.

with 15 people playing i can see it an outside possibility that we have 4 scum.
Ive seen a few 16 people games with 4 so its a in between number and could go either way..
My guess is 2 killers and a symp...maybe 2 symps.
Seriously doubt there is only 2 scum total.
edit - got numbers wrong

I would hazzard a guess HP is a veteran and a bored RI.
If so, what he does is not constructive and he knows that but still dresses it up as activity or as pro-active, and it is neither.
That, or he dislikes being RI, in which case he shouldn't have signed up.
Both are entirely ligit reasons for a vote, especially day 1.
So,
vote HP
For those new to the game, here's why it is a bad idea to vote for night, as quoted from Mafia 101:
Quote
Voting for night
Officially suggesting that the day phase should be ended and the night phase should be started. While voting for night, you cannot vote for a player. Voting for night is usually seen as a bad play and as a play beneficial to the scum faction (as they have the most/ most lethal night actions). It is therefore seldom used.

Or HP is a noob who is also scum who figured to be clever by voting night as being in his best interest...
Anyway you slice it, a distraction.
