What else is in the backlog?

(Ergo Proxy seems to me like an easy one to get bored with an abandon the whole thing...)

AoT: eugh, that seemed like a lot of needless flashback, if you ask me. I mean it was good flashback, sure, but I was hoping for more current development since there's only 1 more episode left. And did Zeke really need to have his motivations made so clear? He was fine as ambiguous, I dunno if this really makes things any better really.

Bunch of older stuff, I haven't touched it in years.

I felt gaming was really getting out of hand due to the lockdown, and Lent was a good excuse to take a break. But I gotta do something in the evenings, lol

I mean i for one liked how we have his motivation and it explains... basically everyone's behaviors up until now.

The PV for the Girls' Frontline anime is here.

I can't wait for the flood of normies coming to the discord thinking it's gonna be all happy cute fun times with gun girls only to get absolutely slapped by trauma. The story primarily centres around AI agency, conspiracies, ancient technology and in the later phases we even get a mad cult as well.

The promo looks dark and bleak, doesn't give me happy carefree vibes at all?

A lot of people will have seen Healing Chapter and despite the PV, they'll equate it with Azur Lane (the 'rival' gacha) which is soft and fluffy and happy in the main. The opening scene from the game is shown in the PV, where Agent very nearly kills the main character by choking her out (despite that the Dolls don't actually breathe).

GFL is dark, bleak, full of intrigue, lots of meandering, deep, almost Malazanesque themes. AI agency, free will, duty, sacrifice, the nature of sentience, etc etc.

WEP 2nd last episode: well that was freaking creepy and I have no clue what to believe. But it was goooood.

Now we have to wait 'til June for the finale! :apt:

Whoa, a quiz show? That was... something else.

Also, remarkable how no one ever told me how much the new Deus Ex games ripped off Ergo Proxy's fashion and the black + gold filter.

Yeah the WEP season finale didn't make much sense but my hope is that the June special will address that. Still very good mind. Not much came close this season.

How are you enjoying it so far Ment? Personally I was not at all a fan of Ergo Proxy.

The quiz show is definitely... an odd choice. (And the other episode that is kind of like that)

If I'm understanding things correctly, the show was always supposed to be one episode longer, but production delays/hell meant they fell too far behind and had to do that recap episode, but couldn't then book the TV timeslot for next week to extend the season by an episode. So June 29 is the first available airtime they could get and the "TV special" is the last episode that should have aired today if the recap episode had never aired. So makes sense that this episode didn't wrap much up - it was never meant to be the last episode.

I can tolerate that sort of stuff for recap episodes, but I don't like them doing it to shoe-horn in exposition that should've been worked into the story naturally.
