Up to episode 9 now (this show is addicting)

Am i the only one who wannts to punch fohawk guy in the face? Its like he purposely being stupid as well as making the whole situation being the 2d and 3d animator worse. How does he even have a job?

Yeah he makes a bunch of mistakes which pissed me off too ha, I think he messes up more too later on if I remember correctly.

Tarou is based on the Shirobako director's own younger self as a production assistant. Apparently, he thinks his past self was an annoying, self-assured colossal screw-up back in the day :D

Ha I didn't know that, that's funny. I did hear that most od the characters are based on real people but I didn't know he was the director.

Damn I was finally going to start it again tonight but the internets been down for hours here, crazy wind knocked a bunch of power out too. Oh well maybe tomorrow!

OK real question here

Why is it that the director only figures out the ending a month before it's due? Shouldnt all of this stuff be done before production even starts????

Also episode 1 of aggretsuko is great. ALL of my friends have not stopped talking about it so apparently i need to watch more.

Not sure how far in you are, but they do already have an ending. The director, producer, and writer worked out the whole story previously in the scenario meetings, and the writer wrote the whole screenplay off of that long ago. The director makes the storyboards based off of that screenplay, but he's struggling to finish the storyboards of the last episode because he is subconsciously (and then consciously) realizing that he doesn't actually like the ending they came up with.

Made it to that episode, but your explanation pretty much wraps everything up.

SO director is basically an idiot cause it takes him several months to figure out he hates the ending. I would not be able to stand working with these people

So Lewdness in the BOTSS resumed normal play this week and I can foresee it being a pick of the year candidate (much as Sakura Quest was last year around the same time).

I don't even know what Aggretsuko is. What's the deal with it?

It great, its funny, its cute and 100% relatable if you've ever worked in an office.

Its shocking how much my friends are digging this, likely because its aimed at young adults rather than teenagers or kids.

I've heard good things from my coworker who has watched it, I watched a trailer and it looks pretty funny.

Doesn't seem that funny/appealing from the trailer, honestly, but I'll try and squeeze in some time to watch a couple episodes on the weekend.

I watched it!

Aggretsuko was the best.

I mean that passive aggressive cat/lynx with a social media savant stalk was the real MVP.

But in general it was amazing. The best part for me was the boss pig rapping.

Ha I know it's really good eh. I felt the same when I finished. I think it was pretty popular too so maybe they'll do another season eventually, who knows?

Selector Infected WIXOSS and Selector Spread WIXOSS just got added to Crunchyroll. I've seen Infected (and the branching sequel to Spread, Lostorage Incited), but not Spread, and there seem to be events in Spread that impact on the current season, Lostorage Conflated. So obviously I need to watch this. For a card game anime, it's really enjoyable.

GalHer seems kind of slow. There's a lot of talking, and then more talking. Does the pace increase at all?

I've also been carrying on through Your Lie. Such drama! Will he ever plink a plonk again!?

You guys need to watch Hinamatsuri.

It's like the Konosuba of everyday life, with telekinesis thrown in for good measure.

Crunchyroll? for some reason my MAL has access to the episodes hosted there and that's how I picked it up.
