Thanks in advance to anyone who answers, anyway:
1.What gets Trull to be trapped in the warren? I thought it would show some huge betrayal, and honestly I was really looking forward to finding out. Is it just because he walked away from Rhulad?
2. Maybe I just missed it, but what is the guardian and what is it guarding?
3.Is Corlo Quick Ben?
4. Did the wyval simply break out of Udinaas' body? I was under the impression that it would transform the body and Udinaas would lose his freedom of thought, but by the end it seemed like he was just used as an incubator.
I feel like i had more questions last night when I actually finished the book but that is all i can come up with at the moment

Is it just because he walked away from Rhulad?it's just everything i think, his doubts, his refusal to follow blindly. in the HoC prologue, rhulad and whoever is with him say that trull called some Tiste Andii the Pure Kin and said they should not be killed, as well as saying rhulad had betrayed the edur. whether or not any of that is true is open to debate, as rhulad may just be trumping up some charges to make the shorning legitimate.
2. Maybe I just missed it, but what is the guardian and what is it guarding?just a guardian. he guards the forgotten gods that mael keeps in his cellar.
3.Is Corlo Quick Ben?no.
4. Did the wyval simply break out of Udinaas' body? I was under the impression that it would transform the body and Udinaas would lose his freedom of thought, but by the end it seemed like he was just used as an incubator.i believe this situation is similar to paran and the hound, beast and man both, but not a true veering. but neither did the wyval "break out" of udinaas' body, udinaas went with it.

It's interesting that in the HoC Prologue, it seems that Rhulad and his other brothers are the ones shorning Trull, but then we learn in MT that Rhulad has adopted his warrior friends as "brothers", and we know Fear is already gone with Udi and co. so he's not there. The post MT pre HoC events will forever be misty.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

I'm doing my first re-read of the series and have been wondering about those events myself. I don't remember a lot of HoC (not one of my favorites in the series) but I seem to recall some Malazans or something meeting up with Trull or Fear or someone. It's weird because in the next book I guess it goes back in time before he was exiled??

Onrack the Imass frees Trull.
At the end of HoC Trull starts telling his story.

Just a guess - the Malazans and the Edur have a ship battle 'offscreen'. Cutter and Apsalar encounter the survivors of both sides of that battle on Avalii in HoC. is that what you're thinking of?

I remember the Drift Avalii part but I think I got the Silanda and the Trull plotlines mixed up even though they're two books apart.
