Will there be more Nubians? I found that he was the best of the Brothers Jorg had.

Seems a waste to stay with the white people only.
I survived the Permian and all I got was this t-shirt.

To be fair he probably wasn't the best _because_ he was a Nuban - the next person we meet from that piece of turf might be a sack of shit or duller than ditch water

Forgot to say this a couple days ago and nearly forgot again thanks to Chris Weidman/Anderson Silva, but I pre-ordered the hard copy through the site's Amazon affiliate link.

Figure this helps us all going forwards and I will tear through the book when it arrives.

Many thanks, pre-orders are much appreciated & help authors a lot!

(less than 3 weeks to go now)

Thanks for the reminder you two, pre ordering now.

The thanks is thirded

And the news that there will be more in the same setting is magnificent.

Så det talas något om Skandinavien och vikingar här? Kan ni förklara det för den här blonde finnen? :-D

I've seen these novels in the English paperback shelf. Maybe I should take a closer look (and make my to-read pile reach Jupiter)?

ETA: Oo, the author's here also? Posted Image/>

Well this gives me my only ever opportunity to exploit the fact I have a review on Finland's premiere fantasy website Posted Image

Thanks, I'll look at the first novel sometime later this year when a suitable occasion appears.

1 week today...

Book description:

Quote

The path to the throne is broken – only the broken can walk it The world is cracked and time has run through, leaving us clutching at the end days. These are the days that have waited for us all our lives. These are my days. I will stand before the Hundred and they will listen. I will take the throne no matter who stands against me, living or dead, and if I must be the last emperor then I will make of it such an ending.

This is where the wise man turns away. This is where the holy kneel and call on God. These are the last miles, my brothers. Don't look to me to save you. Run if you have the wit. Pray if you have the soul. Stand your ground if courage is yours. But don't follow me.

Follow me, and I will break your heart.

Tick tock!

It seems German bookshops put their stocks of English books out early if they get them often.

I'm in Germany.

Just saying.

"Here is light. You will say that it is not a living entity, but you miss the point that it is more, not less. Without occupying space, it fills the universe. It nourishes everything, yet itself feeds upon destruction. We claim to control it, but does it not perhaps cultivate us as a source of food? May it not be that all wood grows so that it can be set ablaze, and that men and women are born to kindle fires?"

Figured I would check out Waterstones today on the off chance they stocked the book early...

They were only just putting it out on the shelves as I walked in... HELLLLLLLLL YEEEHHHHHHHHH!

Goodbye life until this is finished!

So it got read in two sittings and about 2 hours sleep and I immediately started reading Prince again - great series.

I won't post any spoilers yet as some don't even have the book but there are a few points that NEED bringing up!

Don't know how you are resisting the temptation, I had to dive straight in though I did reread Prince and King not long ago - glad I did too.
