D'rek is annoyed that two alliance people are quashed. It happens... Ment chose to boost himself a lot and while it may have helped in some challenges, the follower ability is really lethal on communication, especially if you want to keep the vote secret.

They might initially because they're an easy and obvious bond and the people in your tribe are known entities while the others are scary unknowns. But if that's the case I expect it to dispel after a few cycles into a loose and confusing single tribe with us mostly trying to jockey advantage and voting out the biggest threats. Well, primarily staying alive, and voting together to take out our biggest threats. I've got a buddy and I'm sure you've got at least one, we could all work together to make a significant voting block to remove the bigger threats and keep ourselves alive. On my side the biggest dead weight is Alkend. He said early on he was a follower and later told people in PMs that he could find out the level and role of people he could talk to off-thread. However, he hasn't divulged any other stats or abilities all game, so he's playing really secretively. At the same time, he hasn't really shown himself to be very good at any kind of challenges either. He may really have bad stats, but with all his secrecy he may just be holding back his potent abilities. Definitely he doesn't seem like he'll be helpful to anyone and he may in fact be quite powerful and just keeping it hidden, so I think it'd be best not to let him make it to the top 5, lest he pull out mad abilities from nowhere.

Of course, always an even exchange. Kalse is a full-out Genius, level 3 by now and probably level 4 after this tribal council. So he has mad INT bonuses and supposedly one of his abilities is to see who someone has voted for at tribal council before he has to vote. He used that ability in one of our councils when most people wanted to vote D'riss, then told D'riss and hence D'riss knew to use the hidden immunity idol (not sure whether D'riss had it or Kalse gave it to him). All the votes for D'riss didn't count and D'riss and Kalse's own votes for HP got him removed instead. So, you can see how dangerous such an ability can be!

Serc is telling me that Alkend is an unknown factor for them, and won't be missed but could be lying. I can't decide if I should talk to Karatallid about scheming against the former Durezas or get truly involved in a counter-alliance. I know the fence is a dangerous place to be. I'm probing Karatallid to give me more info, we'll see how that goes.

We're in an alliance with all the Pensador people.
The core of that group are Karatallid, Ruse, and perhaps Lio - plus Tulas and me, who joined their alliance day 2 in Pensador.

I also asked Tulas Shorn to establish contact with Merrid - if there happens to be a fallout within our own group, we can establish a voting block with one Dureza person.
