Challenge Leg 1 - Only Leg
Special : (S:12) - It takes 12 to catch a bean bag. Each bag is shot toward one post. Normally the "target" team gets to make the first catch attempt, but if the other team correctly guesses that will be the target post, they will get the first catch attempt. If a catch is missed, the second person at that post will get a shot to catch it. Consecutive catch attempts (targeted or not) incur a -1 stacking penalty until a round of rest occurs, which removes 2 penalty points.

twelve is trying to figure out stuff from Vengey.

Barghast, on 20 April 2011 - 08:29 PM, said:

Are you lying about your super secret ablility you mentioned yesterday? I talked to D'riss and he has all of the same abilities that you have and they seem almost lame. You are only a level 2 survivalist right? I've been talking with PS about the Challenger abilities and I asked him something about the stacking of the shoulder burden but he read it like I was trying to confirm players abilites. I was wondering if not all levels of the same role gives the same abilities.
What does your level two endurance role give you?

Well good luck with your test. I'm kinda glad Serc hasn't been around today. That way I don't have to dodge questions.

I'll be camping Friday through Sunday over at the coast. So I won't be around at all for those three days. I should tell PS that too.

DKT didn't find the idol.

Anomandaris, on 20 April 2011 - 08:49 PM, said:

Liosan is annoyed at the Roar harassment.

Vengeance is QQ'ing a little bit over the failure to find the idol.

Merrid, on 20 April 2011 - 09:15 PM, said:

Wait I thought that everyone was+3 moral after that last reward challenge. So then I should be flat. What the fuck is the point if finding s fucking map if I cannt find the mother fucking idol.

My back hurts and I am fucking tired. Sorry about the language.

What choice does Tattersail have at this point, y'know?

Vengey's got an interesting strategy here... he wants to keep twelve around, hoping that twelve won't turn around and backstab him. Trying to base your play off of RL relationships in a game of subterfuge is probably dangerous. Still, twelve does seem pretty grateful to be around right now, so he may really think favorably of Vengey. Trying to help Barghast may end up buying Vengeance a vote at the end.

Merrid, on 20 April 2011 - 10:07 PM, said:

My true loyalty is with my alliance as it currently is. I am going to refuse to vote for Barghast which means that he won't go home. If Drek has a problem with that to bad. She needs my vote she also needs his. Unless she is suddenly going to decide that it would be better to throw down with Kalse and Driss and let me and barghast go. I don't think that will fly with Mental.

I am going with the alliance that was first formed. I hope to make it through the merge with Barghast as I know he will have my back.

Merrid, on 20 April 2011 - 10:08 PM, said:

Every one that I am talking to is in my alliance.

Path-Shaper, on 20 April 2011 - 10:14 PM, said:

Sure sure... so you trust both sides of the Alliance? That is to say, you trust Serc and you trust Barghast?

Also, if you wanted to show your clue to Barghast (based upon your alliance thread w/ him), you basically just say

Show Hidden Immunity Idol Clue to Barghast and I will share the clue with him. Keep in mind he gets the same clue you do and thus can share it with others, if he wishes.

He also wants to share his clue with... Barghast?! Wow! Doesn't he realize this could get Serc voted off if Barghast or one of his allies find it and share it? Interesting.

Merrid, on 20 April 2011 - 10:09 PM, said:

Ok my secret ability is that I found a map to the hidden immunity idol. The map gives me a +2 luck role in finding the idol. Anyone whom I share this information with also gets the +2 role just like seeing a map. So I have already looked for the stupid thing and didn't find it. Feel free to give it a go. If you find it this time don't give it away though... :)

Bent corrects me

Tulas Shorn, on 20 April 2011 - 10:13 PM, said:

First off, I dont regret searching for the idol, and I intend to search again tomorrow.

Secondly, I fall underthe radar, but seem to have some of Kara's trust, which I hope to exploit by causing cracks in over a period of days.

But only when I see fit to do so, Not until the last 5 of us are left

I dont get a third exp tonight, I already spent my 2 exp on level one of the survivalist role., so I only have one exp, and will have to wait until the next vote to role up to level 2 in survivalist.

Path-Shaper, on 20 April 2011 - 10:15 PM, said:

You're correct, I just noticed that and was coming to correct but you ninja-read my post first =)

So you think your alliance is likely to hold firm until only 5 remain? Do you worry about players splitting off early in an attempt to position for the end of the game?

Vengeance is a little salty today... he tells Serc what his plan is.

Merrid, on 20 April 2011 - 10:17 PM, said:

Ok so we lost. Frankely I don't fucking care who is saying what to whom. I care about people being counted on to vote. I say we go for Driss again. I am saying the same shit to Alkend and to Barghast. Tell ano that we are going for Kalse. That will spilt the vote up and if Kalse does know that you are the hub then he will probably look at you to see who the real vote is on. If you have a vote on Kalse and I tell Barghast to vote for Driss then if Barghast is a traitor then they won't fucking know who to believe. We tell Barghast and Ano that they aren't in any fucking danger of going home and then we get this lynch on target.

Oh and I didn't find the fucking idol.

Sure enough, he gives the clue to Barghast.

Merrid, on 20 April 2011 - 10:18 PM, said:

Oh SHOW HIDDEN IMMUNITY IDOL TO Barghast.

I trust my alliance. If one or both of them are playing me then shit... If barghast is playing me I will send his sons the biggest fucking drum set I can have delivered and make his life hell. :)

Vengey's launching plans... interesting here, surely he knows this will get Barghast in trouble... or if Barghast and his crew find the idol... it could result in someone going home on accident (if they save the person with 3 votes, they have their own 3 votes).

This is to Ment.

Merrid, on 20 April 2011 - 10:24 PM, said:

Ok so there is some shit going down with Barghast or Ano I don't know what nor do I care at this point. Someone let something slip to either Kalse or Driss as they know Ano's GB name. Stupid but hey. So serc wants to know if Ano has been telling you anything. I guess that Kalse can see who one person is voting for. That is how they knew to have driss use the immunity idol. So we are going to turn that on its head. I want to have you me and Barghast all vote for Driss and have Serc and Ano vote for Kalse. I think that if either Barghast or Ano is a traitor and tell Kalse and then if Kalse checks Serc then they will get conflicting information and we will still get our lynch. But if this is just a bunch of lies that every one has been telling then we will get our lynch.

What do you think. Also I am out for the night. I have to study.

This is to twelve... he tells him not to share it! I wonder what twelve will do.

Merrid, on 20 April 2011 - 10:29 PM, said:

Ok so jeff should be sucking you off soon. DON"T SHARE WITH ANYONE. I am not kidding I will send you guys a massive fucking drum set and the boys will bang on it all day and night.

Also we are voting off Driss. Unless Serc gets on and wants to change it.

And this is to Serc... very interesting.

Ment phones this one in... but at least he tells me who he trusts. On the other hand, he did just spend the last two weeks in finals.

Alkend, on 20 April 2011 - 11:38 PM, said:

I trust Merrid, who seems to be the brains of the organization. Or, at teh very least, Serc's right hand man.

I trust my alliance. I believe they'll stand by me.

He talks to Vengey here.

Alkend, on 20 April 2011 - 11:41 PM, said:

I think Serc mantioned somehting like that with the idol.

also, I wrote 4exams in 8 days. law school finals, ranging from 40-80% final grade. I'm slightly buzzed, my last final is not till Monday, so I ntend to get much more drunk. so, I won't be around today.

Love it! Roldom is calling his group the 'Cadre!' Hah!

Karatallid, on 20 April 2011 - 11:54 PM, said:

well Jeff id like to say im overjoyed at our teams performance yesturday. I did my part so well due to the support and excellent teamwork given to me by my team.Admitidly theres a few communication problems and we were a little slow to finalise our plan, but we all came together in the end!

Well done to Tulas and Ruse, both good friends of mine, both players who i hope to bring with me as far as possible in the days to come.

you are aware perhaps of the steel core of us inside team pensador that have banded together for mutual protection. I had hoped, niavely(sp?) perhaps that we could keep it a secret. But Gamelon is sniffing around seemingly aware of a following around Ruse. As i mentioned I had a none challenger strength bonus maybe he will put 2 and 2 together and realise im Ruses ally. The choice had to be made and the risk taken, once Lio confided that he couldnt give help to another challenger, and as i was unaware that Eloth had gained heart (and some strength) due to the failure in our last challenge I had to set myself out to get those bonuses so I could perform as well as i did.

Will team Dureza target me to reduce my strength in the next challenge? I think so, which will give Lio, our true strong man, a chance to shine.

A house divided cannot stand, if we squabble amoungst ourselves we will lose. That is why i set out in the begining to create the Cadre, and that is why one of the Cadre will win. I can only do my best to make sure the winner is me.

The Cadre, huh? Is that what you are calling yourself?

Noted on the leveling up. After Dureza's tribal is resolved, you'll get your info.

Path-Shaper, on 21 April 2011 - 12:03 AM, said:

Also, I have seen you trusting Ruse for a long time. Are you worried he'll turn on you at some point?

Also, why is Tulas one of your top guys these days? Is it because you think he's useful to the team in challenges, or something else? You essentially replaced Shadow in your "Cadre" with him, and if you trust the "Cadre," why is the newest member one of the closest? Why is he closer than say, Liosan or Eloth?

Roldom thanks HiddenOne for taking over the challenge posting.

Karatallid, on 20 April 2011 - 11:59 PM, said:

well played and thanks for taking over and getting everything posted

we totally kicked ass out there

And to Ruse/Lizra.

Karatallid, on 21 April 2011 - 12:02 AM, said:

it looked like it all worked out for the best. I expect Gamelon will but 2 and 2 together and figure out we are allied with each other. But its too late unless he manages to turn some of us against each other.

With a victory like that, one that was planned out by the Cadre (you ,me and Lio) and one that worked so well. I cant see anyone losing faith in our system.

Roldom is... basically brilliant. He knows the weak links in his alliance. The question is... is he naive in thinking people will stay in line until 5 remain?

Karatallid, on 21 April 2011 - 12:17 AM, said:

I was lucky. When we had the first challenge I managed to put myself forward and make plans.

This got me the attention of two players, Shadow and Liosan. After talking to ruse for a while and hearing how he often looked to help others I allied with him. This gave me links to 3 other players, who each had different skills and talents. Expanding on that I began making tentative approaches to Eloth, who also looked like he could bring something new to the table.

Once we are at the jury stage, the Cadre is set. If any of us are betrayed then we can vent our anger at the deception on the Jury. The surviving cadre will know that there will be at least one player with a grudge against them deciding there fate. So i assume self interest will keep everyone loyal.

When the two tribes merge, there will be a dureza vs pensador split, and thats how the votes will be cast. If we start voting off each other now, wheres the trust? I think Rake said it once, as soon as you start using betrayel as a means to win, you invite everyone else to use it aswell. If ruse started to talk the others into voting me off, I hope they will figure out that theres nothing to stop ruse doing the exact same thing to them the next time around.

Tulas proved himself in the second challenge. Taking the leed and putting himself forward when Shadows lies left us vunerable. Sadly we still lost that challenge, but I assume we did better than if Shadow had been in his place.

I am wary of Eloth, He doesnt seem as much of apart of the Cadre (I waas tempted to go with Cabal, but i liked Cadre to much) as everyone else. Maybe its still lingering doubts about his attatchment to fener. Plus due to time restraints we dont talk as much as others. Liosan has been quite quiet, but he really stepped up this last challenge and thanks to him i managed to make a plan that allowed us to dominate the challenge. He has also been prompt and told us about Gamelons attempts at creating his own allience.

Lizra also understands that his path is basically tied to Karatallid's... and he may need to remove Karat at the end to have a chance. But waiting for the final 3 to do so is a bad idea... since that will be the end.

Ruse, on 21 April 2011 - 12:33 AM, said:

On its own, the follower role is pretty weak, as I gain no bonus points in anything, which is the reason I think some of the people voted for me. I am a weak player for any challenges. Gamelon pretty much said so on our first TC and I suspect he voted for me on the second one, too.

I hope that when the tribes get merged we have majority and can vote out the other tribe first or if not, that the other players go for those who are strong in Challenges and likely to gain Immunity.

Right now I'm pretty comfortable with Karatallid and I think as a team we can go pretty far. Hopefully even to the end.

I think in the final voting of the winner he will be strong opponent, but I don't intend to vote for him until there are three people left and hope that we have one more TC before the final. I'll try to convince the other player to vote together with me for him.

Right now Karatallid seems to be in the very center of our cabal and I don't know how much the others note me.
So a lot of them would probably vote for him, but I'm not sure if I'm able to direct the others near the end, so he might be a good shild.

HiddenOne talks the challenge's coda with Roldom.

Liosan, on 21 April 2011 - 12:23 AM, said:

yeah, good plan making yourself the secret weapon - no sarcasm

Karatallid, on 21 April 2011 - 12:49 AM, said:

did they use a negative on you?

Roldom cheers on his alliance. Not a bad strategy to stay in constant communication, even when things are going well.

Karatallid, on 21 April 2011 - 12:21 AM, said:

we did great in that challenge, A victory heavily influenced by us Cadre members.

Just goes to show what happens when we stick together

Tulas Shorn, on 21 April 2011 - 12:26 AM, said:

I agree with that 100 percent. Karatallid, do you think we will hold until the final 5?

I know nothing about Liosan, but Ruse seems pretty trustworthy. I have only spoken to Eloth a couple of times, and cant get anything out of him since the Fener vote. I have tried twice.

Karatallid, on 21 April 2011 - 12:52 AM, said:

eloth is a bit quiet and it worries me a little

Liosan is trustworthy i think, its only eloth i worry about

I think we can stick together till then fingers crossed

Search for Hidden Immunity Idol

Kalse, on 21 April 2011 - 12:59 AM, said:

Well, that challenge really surprised me, I thought we had a good chance of winning immunity. I think I'm pretty fucked. I said before I wanted to play this game pretty honestly and it turns out I was really only able to do that with Barghast. If he's lied to me then I'll be pretty surprised, I think we made a good team. We really pulled that one Tribal Council out of the fire, and the game was worth it just for that. I wish the tribe hadn't divided itself so quickly, because I feel like the game so far has primarily been played against my own tribe, just trying to survive. I guess that's Mafia for you. :D

I don't think Barghast is going to betray me; D'riss (tatts) might do anything to survive, so who knows. If we don't find the idol, obviously one of us is going home. If they don't vote off Barg for betraying them I imagine it will be D'riss again, but anything's possible. There's a small chance that my role and challenge performance might make me valuable enough to survive the merge, but the other alliance is pretty airtight, it seems. Best case scenario, winning immunity keeps me alive through the merge where either a) the Dureza Bastards will bring me into the alliance against Pensador, or b ) Pensador approaches me and I side with them against my tribe. I don't think anyone in the Bastards is going to flip to Pensador, at least not for awhile. Tribe division will probably be strong, I imagine.

Serc and Anomander have obviously been concealing things and they are not that interested in even maintaining appearances with me off thread... I guess power makes you complacent. :p

Tribal Council will be interesting, to say the least.

Serc and Vengeance talk the plan over... has Vengey taken control of his alliance?

Serc, on 21 April 2011 - 12:50 AM, said:

So I tell Ano to vote for Kalse, and he does, and I vote for D'riss?

Merrid, on 21 April 2011 - 01:12 AM, said:

You can or you can vote for Kalse on the assumption that Kalse will check you out to see who you are going to vote for. I would feel most comfortable with you voting for Driss as I don't want to get screwed in a lynch again. But then again if we spit up our vote for 3 on driss and 2 on kalse then if they manage to block driss again. We will match them on kalse and it will go to show down. But that will only work if everyone votes who they are suppose to. If someone is playing us and sides with Kalse and driss then it will go to a show down between the two 3 vote getters.

Basically I am trying to figure out a way that we test out both Barghast and Ano while preventing a HP like incident from happening again. Really it works regardless of whom the traitor is. The problem is if no one is a traitor (the name might have been a slip) then we are left to explain why we put both barghast and ano to the test. Really though with the amount of shit going on we can say that we did it to counter Kalse. Which would be the truth just not all of it. It is kind of like a double blind.

I know that I asked and answered my self but I have a tendancy to do that when I am thinking. If you would rather I can vote for Kalse with Ano and you can vote Driss with the others.

But taking WIFOM into account I don't really see another way to eliminate both what happened to hp and to see whom is actually in our alliance.

One thing that is bother some is that everyone in our alliance voted with us last time. Which could point to a ballsy player doing both sides or to Kalse and Driss trying to make a brilliant move to both break us up and to get 2 of our members in an alliance with them. Either play is impressive and shows a good grasp of mafia and a foreshadowing use of WIFOM that we want to note and make use of later on in the game. Preferably after the merger with people who haven't seen it done over here. God a potential double WIFOM move. That would be fucking impressive. Although one group pulling it off and then another group pulling it off would be really impressive. Anyway I have to finish my test later.

Pensador for the win :)

You were an inspired choice for us all to lend our strength bonuses to. The other tribe never would have thought to de-buff a survivalist in a strength activity.

Karatallid, on 21 April 2011 - 04:07 AM, said:

they would of had all there debuffs on Lio, i think it all worked out quite well, but it wont work a second time.

Eloth wont have a bonus because we won, and i am likely to be debuffed next time, that leaves ruse and Ts as are only available none challengers. TS will be needed for his intelligence bonus. so next time we should add everything to ruse

The Cadre leaders talk it over.

Ruse, on 21 April 2011 - 12:39 AM, said:

I don't think he will be able to do that. I think the others like the safety this alliance offers them right now. The knowledge that they are not to be voted out as long as non-alliance people are around.

I think it will get more hairy once the tribes get merged. After all it is unlikely that the final voting will be with five people left.

we will be foreced to work closer together, it would be insanse to assume that the dureza players will vote off other dureza players, they will come for pensador blood. if we dont work together we will be cut off one player at a time

Well I only have a short amount of time. D'riss is hosed if we don't find the idol. Merrid is too tight with the others. Make sure you look for it. I'm going to tell D'riss the same. Good luck.

Well, I guess they think it's just safer to stick with their original allies then try for some upset where they could be vulnerable. Not surprised. Would have been nice to see someone flip and take a chance, cause it would have worked, but Serc must be promising them hjs or something.

I submitted an action to find the idol. I can only be around for like 4-5 more hours so I don't know if I'll be able to use my ability successfully before I have to vote. Going to hold off on it for now and hope someone votes early. Who are you voting for? And who should we target in case we find the idol? Ano or Serc is fine with me.

Also, how sure are you that the vote is going back to D'riss?

Barghast, on 21 April 2011 - 05:07 AM, said:

I think we should get rid of Ano as Ser's rally cry ability can help us win challenges. That is if he uses it for immunity challenges instead of wasting it on a stupid reward challenge.

I'm fairly sure it's D'riss but who knows. They may be paranoid about the idol and split their votes between you and him just in case. I think Merrid would tell me.

Happy? :p

Also I need to "pass" info to the group. I told Serc that I would "spy" on Kalse and D'riss to find out who they are talking to. So I am passing it on to you instead. Tell Serc that since he has been out all day I told you about it instead.

Tell them that I found out that Kalse has talked to everyone but Ano from what he told me.

Also tell him that D'riss has been sending me quotes about his conversations with Ano where it looks like Ano is seriously thinking of flipping sides. They are pretty believable. I can forward them to you to pass on if you would like. Just let me know.

You were unable to pull out the V today, so let's talk strategy.

How do you proceed? You seem like you're stuck between different individuals. You have ties to Merrid, Kalse, and D'riss, from what I can tell. Who do you trust the most and/or the least? How do you plan to proceed if you don't have an immunity idol today?

Yeah. I have a feeling more than a few people decided to go searching for the idol and didn't bother to tell me when I was putting together the list for the challenge. It looks like my plan for Serc was a good one I just should have selected me instead of Ano to be the next one to catch.

What next!? In regards of trust, at this moment, I think I trust D'riss the least. Not because I think he would backstab me but because Tat's game has been the weakest. Actually in regards of who I think will be least likely to backstab me I may have to say D'riss, though it would be a close one with Merrid.

So my deal with Merrid, aka, Vengeance, aka Conan. He is the reason I play mafia at all. I'm not a huge Erikson fan. I almost stopped reading the series after Memories of Ice. I've never been that emotionally tore up at the end of a book before and I wasn't sure I could go through that again. So needless to say I don't visit these forums because of the books. He and I have known each other since we were kids. He practaclly lived at my house. I have been hoping we could be teamed up in one of these mafia games for some time. It's just I am so bad at alt guessing that I can never figure out who he is. That was the main reason I have been asking for peoples alts in the hopes I could run into him. That was why I felt safe telling him what I did. I knew that he wasn't likely to use that info against me. Though I understand why he doesn't want to flip to my side for the same reason I wasn't comfortable with the Bastards. I have built trust with a particular group and he has done the same with his.

That leaves Kalse. I have been impressed with his play so far and with both of us in a bad spot he hasn't tried to throw me under the bus which would be a great way to save your ass for a round or two. That shows integrety.

Ideally I would like for Merrid to come over to my side. I think D'riss would do much better in the majority and just help win challenges. And Kalse would help us run to the top. He is a good one to toss ideas back and forth with. A very quality ally.

But Merrid won't come over AND he had to go complicate my life with this stupid piece of paper and demand that I not share it with anyone.... (HA!!!! I knew there had to be a clue.) I soooo want to share this with D'riss and Kalse to help in their search for the idol. But I think for my own personal survival I need to team up with Merrid and see where I can go within the Bastards. I can't risk another D'riss slip up that I gave him that paper. Co and I may be friends but we both want to win this game and that would seriously damage his trust in me. Though by not sharing this piece of paper I feel like I am betraying my allies. Which I guess I am.

GAAAAHHHH!!!!! Why do I feel soooo bad inside? This is just a stupid game. I would never do well in a pressure situation with people's lives in my hands when I had to chose who lived and who died. They might all die while I try to figure out what to do.

But I'm giving myself an out. If either Kalse or D'riss find the idol without the note then I will team up with them and force a 3-3 tie and vote out Ano. I so want Serc gone it's not even funny but this rally cry can help us win group immunity.

So I'm hoping for the latter but planing on the former.

I know i'm asking much but I enjoy our chats, and I don't think Serc and co will have you as an equal, i'd think if it come down to Serc, Merrid, Alkend and you and they had to vote someone off, who would they vote?
I've already said I wouldn't vote you, and you may think this is mafia i'm lying but i'm not, what will I do on my days off if I can't play his :)

Hope you're well anyway, speak soon.

She confides in me. Sadly for her, DKT won't vote for her but not due to allegiance... it's because he will have orders otherwise.

D, on 21 April 2011 - 06:11 AM, said:

To be honest Jeff I think they are all out to kill me off, same with Kalse. They have no regard for our team in my opinion, Serc obviously used the search for idol before last challenge, he did awful at catching. This is not his fault he was not the main player we should have been targeting. They seem to make decisions without me and think they are clever. Well I don't think one of "our" team will win this, if Barghast gets to stay in then he may do some good work later on.
If I stay, which I will be shocked at, I will be going to level 2 deceiver and see what that may bring me, i'm in it for myself at the moment although I will help Barghast as much as I can. In terms of Ano I think he is good for his word of not voting for me but he won't ally with us.

Well you've played well so far, I think we will await the result of the search for the hidden idol, if it isn't one of us three then they have the upper hand, we can only hope that Serc votes someone different than the others to throw you off the scent, if we can see who Merrid votes and who Serc tells you to vote then we can have a good indication, if they all vote me then you'll have to join me and Kalse in voting off Alkend and just hope that Ano is true to his word about not voting for me, that would be our best gamble to be honest

D'riss: 8
Kalse: 4
Barghast: 6 + 2 = 8

Not this time, it appears.

You expended your charge of Rallying Cry. You won the challenge, so you have no charges left.

Let's talk strategy. What is your current thought on the game thus far? You've seemed to bounce around. You get a lot of alliance attention, but have already been forced to vote off someone for what you felt was the greater good or peer pressure. How did you feel about doing that? What do you think you're going to do in the future if the same situation comes up again?

Current thoughts: I think our team is finding its feet. We have the specializations we need and are generalizing in the areas where we need more support to compete with the other tribe.
I do get a lot of alliance attention, but the contacts are shallow. I think myself and the other members do not feel the need to deepen things out, though. We all know we can reach the second island if we keep the alliance intact, and therefore our greater good is just voting along with one-another. Deepening things out leads to plans within plans which may endanger getting to island two. So basically, I just roll along. So far, it works.

I disliked voting Fener, partly because I respect Dibs a lot for his tactical insights, partly because I thought it was tactically wrong to vote off someone who gives a morale blanket bonus, especially with these massive morale swings, partly because he is one of the few in my timezone. My participation on-thread suffers from having almost no-one to talk to (and sadly, also not much to talk about) but I didn't want to potentially antagonize my allies. As said, we can make it to island 2 together and that is what you ultimately play for.

I expect Gamelon is the next one to go, and I'll vote him despite once again thinking it is tactically wrong and stretching our resources. So, if the situation crops up again, I'll just vote along with our alliance again.

DKT is only half right here in his discussion with D'rek... it's a pretty reasonable bet that Barghast will vote as instructed if he doesn't think he has anything to gain by voting "out there."

Anomandaris, on 21 April 2011 - 09:59 AM, said:

Looks like they want to vote for Alkend...
D'riss wants me to go that way ...stating that Alkend has been the weakest player in challenges and doesnt contribute much on thread...blah blah blah

So if they do have another idol... Alkend needs to be careful.
Im going to tell them that i will vote for Alkend, that im sick of you and your scemes and shit. :p

Then if they really do have barghy on their side three votes should appear on alkend to our 4 on Driss, proving barghast a 2 faced minge.
If there are only 2 votes on Alkend....well....then he is clean.

DKT tells me the truth and it hasn't changed. He is sticking to the Gentlemen Bastards.

Have a happy Easter, Eloth. Perhaps we can make hats out of leaves and shells and have an Easter Bonnet Parade or something :)

A thought regarding challenges - the strength buffs that challengers have only works on non-challengers - that leaves Ruse, TS and yourself? i think this is going to need future consideration as well as the fact that someone has to sit out at the next challenge. I'd suggest Ruse since he can still use his 'lend +1 to a team mate' without being in the challenge.

Eloth, on 21 April 2011 - 12:52 PM, said:

That's smart thinking!!
My bonus is spent, I only gain extra charges after losing one. Since we won the last one, I am emptied of anything representing a bonus... perhaps after levelling up.

I think there's no way they're letting D'riss in after all that shit they put us through... if they do I'll be surprised. They haven't betrayed anyone from the original alliance yet, and I don't really expect them to. I bet D'riss is willing to vote for us to get a spot over there though, so maybe they're using him to vote us off and then will finish him later.

I wonder if someone already has the idol. That would be a pretty good reason for all of them to stick together.

It was nothing you did. Was just told you were the one to go and i should vote that way... Now im not so sure. What made you play the idol? Im shocked someone even has it this early. Ideally i would not want to go to tribal council again and we can ALL go thru together to the merge.
That would make this decision moot.

I tell you what...at the very least i would be willing to not vote for you, worst case scenario is you get a tied vote between yourself and serc and leave it to chance.

Im still trying to convince myself its a good idea to actually do a blind side on him...

still a while before we vote again i hope... and lots could change before then :)

I think that Ano may have it. He told me on thread he had max moral but didn't he tell you that he was going to look for it? Someone should ask him.

Merrid, on 21 April 2011 - 02:28 PM, said:

No he told Serc that he was going to look for it, and Serc told me. That would figure. If he has it then fine nothing to be done about it. He won't trade it off ... :p

Now did you send some of those pm's to serc. She hasn't been on in a while and only responded to me once last night.... Alkend is busy getting fucked up, and after his school week I don't blame him. Yeah so we just hold off looking for it till after it is used again. No worries. Of Kalse and Driss who do you think we should keep?

Barghast, on 21 April 2011 - 02:37 PM, said:

I voted for D'riss already. I am just about ready to send my stuff to Serc that D'riss has sent to me. One of them could be incriminating against Ano.

Merrid, on 21 April 2011 - 02:42 PM, said:

Ok then. Well lets get this done with.

Only someone with this much power could make this many frittatas without breaking any eggs.

twelve tells ansible that he'll try to work with Merrid to find Kalse a seam.

Barghast, on 21 April 2011 - 02:43 PM, said:

No idols this time. I think Ano may have it. So I'm voting out D'riss. You can either vote him out or you can vote Alkend like D'riss told me he is. Either way it's just you and me now. I'll work on Merrid about a possible move to get you in and someone else out. I'll plant the seeds with Merrid that he needs a plan to get to the top of the group and using you would be a very good option for a power play.

Vengey thinks they should keep D'riss now... interesting, especially since they have no geniuses without Kalse! It also would remove any chance to see a max-level Genius.

Merrid, on 21 April 2011 - 02:02 PM, said:

Ok Driss is right we do need his moral boost. Especially if people keep looking for the fucking idol and not finding it. So I say we send Kalse home tonight rather then Driss. You me and Ano will all vote for kalse and we will have barghast and Alkend vote for driss.

Thoughts...

Merrid, on 21 April 2011 - 02:04 PM, said:

OH and Barghast says that Driss is telling him that Ano is about ready to jump ship. Barghast says that ano is copy and pasting pm to driss. I told Barghast to send them on to you. I have a midterm today so I am not going to really be around.

Merrid, on 21 April 2011 - 02:43 PM, said:

barghast said that he has already voted for Driss and that he is going to send you the messages from driss that are forwards from ano.

Here's another vote for D'riss after all, from Vengey. Looks like he changed his mind due to Barghast's vote.

Merrid, on 21 April 2011 - 02:44 PM, said:

Vote for Driss

Tattersail's last ditch effort with twelve.

Barghast, on 21 April 2011 - 02:51 PM, said:

I'm so sorry D'riss. I couldn't pull any magic to save you this time. I sooo wanted to be able to. I trust you and Kalse 100% but the other group is just too tight. Everything that you were telling Ano was sent straight to Serc and to Merrid. I want to trust that Ano is on the level but I don't think he is.

D, on 21 April 2011 - 02:52 PM, said:

So who would you like to vote, if it is shown as 4 versus 3 I may be able to swing ano just a tad. Vote for Merrid?

Barghast, on 21 April 2011 - 02:55 PM, said:

No I told Kalse that you were voting for Alkend.

D, on 21 April 2011 - 02:55 PM, said:

Hey Barghast, I don't think it is just our votes that count though, what about the people who have been voted out? Do they not get to vote too?

Barghast, on 21 April 2011 - 02:57 PM, said:

No the people voted out are done. At least they are done up to the point where voted out people become part of the jury.

Unfortunately for Tattersail, honesty in Survivor is rarely the best policy, as she learns with DKT.

D, on 21 April 2011 - 02:54 PM, said:

All I can ask is that you don't vote for me, I know you may be relaying everything I say to Serc and Merrid but it was a chance I had to take, i've been nothing but honest with you and you never know there are two people who have been voted out and they may get to vote too.

D, on 21 April 2011 - 02:56 PM, said:

Would you take out Serc? Do you trust him enough? If you wouldn't vote for me who would you vote for?

Tattersail gets confused on the Jury.

D, on 21 April 2011 - 02:55 PM, said:

Also just a quick question, do the people who have been voted out get to cast a vote?

Path-Shaper, on 21 April 2011 - 02:57 PM, said:

No.

You may be thinking of the 'Jury' who will vote only once, for the winner of the game. The Jury consists of players voted out in the mid-to-late portion of the game.

Everyone voted out so far is just out of the game.

Twelve's on the fence as usual.

Barghast, on 21 April 2011 - 03:02 PM, said:

Okay. I'm going to be breaking my alliance with Kalse so I can approach either Alkend or Ano. Who do you recommend that I talk to going forward? Since I am now firmly on your side of the fence I think we need to start considering what our move will be. To get to the top of the pile we will need to either make a move with Kalse or start laying the groundwork for swining Serc, Alkend or Ano over to our side.

What are you thoughts?

So how did the studying go last night? Did you get your take home done by the deadline?

Tattersail sees the writing on the wall.

D, on 21 April 2011 - 03:04 PM, said:

I think Barghast and Merrid have voted for me, that leaves you serc and alkend to also vote for me, even if you don't i'm still a gonner.

ansible is getting the facts.

Kalse, on 21 April 2011 - 03:09 PM, said:

Obvious Deduction - I'd like to use this on Merrid if possible.

Path-Shaper, on 21 April 2011 - 03:34 PM, said:

Merrid voted for D'riss.

Tattersail's hopes dwindle.

D, on 21 April 2011 - 03:02 PM, said:

Is Barghast allowed to speak to me off thread still even though he voted?

D, on 21 April 2011 - 03:13 PM, said:

vote jeff :)

Path-Shaper, on 21 April 2011 - 03:35 PM, said:

Yes, off-thread communication may continue. Sorry for the delay in answering.

Very touching moment from twelve...if I can make a game that elicits emotion, then I think I've done a good job.

D, on 21 April 2011 - 02:59 PM, said:

Who did you vote for? 30 minutes left, Serc and co haven't voted so your vote and my vote may have counted. Tell me you didn't vote me

Barghast, on 21 April 2011 - 03:31 PM, said:

Fuck. I can't believe I'm fighting back tears on this. It's just a stupid game. You deserve the truth from me though. I was going to be a coward and "disapear" until after tribal so I didn't have to tell you this but yes I did put your name down as the person that I'm voting for. The only way that Ano can prove to me that he is on our side is if he gives you the HII. All his other actions told me that he can't be trusted. That was why I didn't try to force a 4-3 vote because I couldn't trust him. He might vote Kalse like he told you but then the votes would be 3 D'riss and 3 Alkend and on the revote he would have been forced to vote you out. I'm fairly sure that he does have the idol.

Ask him to use it on you. Tell him that you know that he has the idol and that you would forever be in his debt. What do you have to lose?

Kalse is undecided as to who to vote for. Either you or Alkend like you suggested. He knows that he's on the losing end of things.

ansible and twelve discuss D'riss's bleak situation.

Kalse, on 21 April 2011 - 03:11 PM, said:

I think that after we made our play at TC awhile ago and saved D'riss, they ALL searched for the idol pretty quickly, probably right after the reward challenge - and the lack of morale from those searches probably lost us immunity. I bet they figured better to be safe with the idol and vote one of us off than take a chance that one of us might get the idol again. So I've bet they had it and threw us under the bus with regards to immunity just to save themselves.

I don't know who I'll vote for. Sigh. Doesn't seem like it matters much.

Work on Merrid and with any luck we can stay alive.

Barghast, on 21 April 2011 - 03:22 PM, said:

Vengey isn't sure how to handle Kalse.

Merrid, on 21 April 2011 - 03:35 PM, said:

Fuck no I didn't finish the motherfucker. The second to the last problem had 15 fucking parts. I turned it in 15 minutes late.

We don't bother trying to make a move till the merge. I have a feeling that we are going to go into that on the short end which will mean that we will need the whole alliance for as long as possible. If you want to break with Kalse then hook up with either one it doesn't matter which. I am with Alkend and Serc is with Ano.

I know D'riss asked if I voted for him. I haven't manned up yet and told him I did. I guess he deserves the truth from me.

God!!!! This sucks!!!!

Barghast, on 21 April 2011 - 03:35 PM, said:

I gave D'riss one last play to try. I told him that I'm fairly certain that Ano has the idol. If Ano is really on your side then he should give him the idol and you can blindside Alkend. It's such a long shot as to be ridiculous but what can he do other than scramble?

Lizra's on the up and up.

Kalse gives it a go for Alkend. A long shot.

Kalse, on 21 April 2011 - 03:40 PM, said:

Vote - Alkend

Well, you haven't been around, so I think this is where the vote is coming from. The odds of this going through are pretty damn slim though... If so, some crazy shit just went down.

Kalse, on 21 April 2011 - 03:41 PM, said:

Yeah, it could work. I guess I'll vote for Alkend just on the off chance that something like this works out.

I checked Merrid's vote - it was for D'riss.

Barghast, on 21 April 2011 - 03:43 PM, said:

You should have checked Anos to be honest. Then you could have told Ano the truth of who he voted for.

Kalse, on 21 April 2011 - 03:44 PM, said:

Yeah I mean might as well tell D'riss at this point. The only way he can survive is with the idol anyway, and if he gets it, then your vote doesn't count. Still probably seems like a betrayal from D'riss's perspective but what can you do at this point.

twelve says they need to top chef soon.

Barghast, on 21 April 2011 - 03:42 PM, said:

After tribal both you and I need to submit our top chef ability. That will at least get people back up to average for those that were in the negative. I will be at +1 if we both use our abilities.
