Wow. I love people who get all offended by the truth. The end of Lost sucked, if aSoIaF finishes with a similar level of suckitude, I would fully expect Martin to get pilloried for it. Should he get shouted out for saying this? No.

That guys tweets on the comments GRRM made were actually really amusing.
Oh no he didn't!
I think it's quite tongue in cheek though.

I’ve just been informed George is working on his feud response. I’ll have it in FIVE YEARS!

I'm with George on this one. Like him I watched Lost avidly and with guarded optimism from when it first aired, and like him I felt cheated by the ending. To me the ending was incredibly disappointing and felt like a cop out.
This didn't stop me from laughing along with Lindelof's witty responses. George's webpage could do with an update, though the antiquated look does give it a certain charm.

Meh at the end of the interview it seems pretty clear he's just dicking around. He does say he thinks Martin's language is a bit strong and of course he's obligated to defend his creation when someone equates it to a turd on their front porch, but he spends a lot of time talking about how much he enjoys Martin's work and how he's going to love Game of Thrones.

The ending to LOST was amazing on a cinematic and emotional level. It became clear earlier in the season and especially in Across the Sea that they weren't going to give answers to a lot of the mythological questions. I still don't regret a second spent watching the show.
Anyway I've argued about this enough on other forums the past couple of days. I'm glad GRRM didn't respond and some of Damon's tweets were quite humorous.

Discovered this on GRRM's blog
"I'm off to plunk my magic twanger."
Sounds dodgy as hell to me, though I wonder if that's because I've seen the adultified Rainbow skit: 'Let's all get our twangers out and play with our balls' or something to that effect, AND 'I've only got a tiny twanger. But it works well and I like to play with it.'
I'll top derailing the thread with pointless filth now.

Between this, his post a while back about needing a cold shower after sitting in on audition readings for the part of Shae, and the fact that he's always talking about wrestling krakens, I think he may have a problem.

Io9 weighs in on it with thoughts similar to my own about George's bitchy comments being wrong,.......but not about the finale itself and why I liked it.
