There is a throwaway line somewhere in here, I think where Hiam is talking to Quint about the lady granting that malazan guy with the funny name the ability to use his powers. Apparently the only other time that had occured was a few years back, when a pair of travelling sorceror's were "passing through".
Don't have the book on me, but pretty sure the description of them is "dark" or might even term them necromancers.

Anyone else hoping this is our favorite necromancers, and that there might be the potential of another novella sometime in the future featuring this??

It is referring to B&KB, but the novella where this happened has already been published. I believe it's Blood Follows (Lamentable Moll if my memory is serving me correctly?).
uhm, that should be 'stuff.' My stiff is never nihilistic.

I couldn't help but connect that reference to B&KB as well, however it's been nearly a year and a half since I read Blood Follows so I guess I completely missed that connection.

Someone else made the exact same thread the other day...
