It's sort of like a reference guide to popular media mixed with a pseudo wikipedia, only much, much worse.

Oh god, I have it bad, I don't know how many pages I have open right now, probably around a hundred, maybe more. Maybe many more.

It started last week, somebody, somewhere, somehow, linked to some article, what it was about I can no longer remember. Before I knew it I was reading about Chechows Gun, Mechanical Mooks, I must scream but I have no mouth and from there I spiralled out of control. I try to read and close as many pages as I can, but more just pop up. I CAN'T NOT CLICK THEM!

Here's what you do: Start reading the trope-crack in internet explorer. After about you 50th tab open, it will crash. Eventually you will get fed up, and hopefully lose interest.

A couple of years ago I actually spent something like a September reading through that site. I had, at the most, at least 1500 tabs open in Firefox. Yes, it crashed. Repeatedly. But I opened those tabs to read them, damn it, and that's just what I did!

And then I got bored of how everything is connected to anime, webcomics and fanfiction - fanfiction? really? On that note, I must say that I've mostly mastered my trope addiction. I still open numerous tabs whenever I visit for 'research' purposes, but nowhere near as many as in the past, and I can usually get away within an hour of first clicking.
