Hi everyone...

I don't know if any of you know this game, but it's a really fun game and I was looking if there was a Malazan mod for it... But I couldn't find one, so I decided to make one by myself. It's quite easy to actually mod the game, it's almost all written in notepad. The problem I have is information... If anyone can help me please reply or PM...

I'm assuming we're talking province names/capitals/stats and all that.

DISCLAIMER: I haven't played EU3, but i've messed with some EU2 mods back in the day, Bringing Easten Europe more in line with my vision of it, and it essentially consisted of editing excel spreadsheets. and notepad files.

Well, it is that, but then there's the events and decisions and missions and ideas and such too... Oh, there is also that I need a map... Do any of you know where I can find one.

Right now I am messing about with the cultures... This is about as far as I've gotten with them... Any suggestions or changes?

NOTE: The Napan is in an own culture group because I didn't know where to put the blue-skinned islanders...

So, there are two major cuture groups, human and non human.

Human is divided into: Quon Tali Plain Tribes, Seven Cities Tribes, Genabackan Tribes, Lether Tribes, First Empire People, and Lether.

Non-Humans are divided into: Tiste, Assail, and Thelomen Toblakai.

NOTE: I realized now that I've forgotten to add the Korelri people...

EDIT: So, here are the cultures for Korel.

There is big, SE-approved map of Wu floating around somewhere on the book forums. I'd expect it to resurface on the TCG forum, but since I haven'tread it yet I'm staying the hell away form that wretched hive of spoilers and villainy.

Better name for Boles would be Mott/Blackdog, imho.

Also, you've forgotten the Capans, the Domin, and the ELingarth on Genabackis (oh, and the Seguleh).

Also, the Crimson Guard of Stratem deserve mentioning as a state.

for Letheras, i'd include (DOD spoiler)

Spoiler

Events and scripting will really depend on the era you want to cover.

this sounds like a realy cool project. I'll look into getting EU3 to see what it's like, maybe I could lend a hand.

There are many I haven't included, and I don't really know what timeperiod to choose, so I don't really know what countries should be there...

I need help with ideas for these...

Whoaah, I`ve been waiting for a Malazan EU3 mod for ages. I`ve read the book quite a long time ago, but playing quite a lot EU3 these days, so I`d gladly help in creating this.

A few ideas/questions:

1. Naval units:

Not the most important, but it would be very cool, if we could make different naval units for each tech group (makes me feel kinda weird, when I play Brunei and my fleet consists of a few War Galleons)

2. Tech development:

I feel that while the human realms (e.g. Letheras, Malazan Empire) are quite tech oriented, there are aa whole bunch of nations stagnating on a certain level of development (to take just two radical examples: the Teblor and the Khain Che`Malle). How could this be interpreted in the game?

3. Magic:

A question of major importance: how could we integrate magic to the game? We can`t just skip it, can we?

4. Army units

Again, the huge differences between civillisations would require to list a lots of units and to balance between manpower and quality (take the Segulah and the Empire e.g.)

5. Forms of government

There are a set of ne types to be intoduces for e.g. the Segulah or the Tiste Andii. The question of the death of rulers is another stuff to be dealt with.

6. Gods and religion

How should the immortals be incorporated?

And these are just a few things. It is a gigantic work, but definitely worths the invested time.

I saw this thread and got excited for a moment because I thought such a mod existed. Now I'm sad again.
