Jernau, feeling the weight of his bulging purse throbbing inside his skill threw down fifty credits with a slight smile of contempt attempting to spread across his face. To everyone else he looked just as slack jawed, and debrained, but in side he was smirking, honestly. He waited for a response, and he waited some more, and well he waited even longer until almost a whole day had gone by and he considered the possiblity he was playing some weird waiting game variation on damage when suddenly some chips and another life arrived on the deck. Eyes not widening in the slightest, smile not showing at all he was neeedless to say a gleeful little bastard doing a jig on the inside and a doddering humanoid in a drool stained jumpsuit on the outside. Expecting the third player to pounce, he hadnt counted on that player not turning his cards over, he hadnt counted on someone going in half cocked and playing blind.

Because they were not playing blind, they just were blind. Oh well, patience is a virtue

Jernau bets 50

Kraiklyn is all in and drops another life into the pot to make up the difference.

someone may as well cash in on the final vote, unless people would be willing to vote silanah it is a done deal, wait until i got to bed and then try and push a lynch through.. I'm on my last legs so i will just say that lynching me will even the teams up a little, Jernau will lose a member, i'm assuming that the majority of Jernau would be on this train and it will not help their faction.

Anyone find it weird the bets haven't been posted yet?

Not really. dibs hasn't been doing vote updates either. He's still modding solo I think.
Of course, even with his latest post it appears there's still only 1 bet in.

Why assume that?

Sorry guys was very busy today and my internet decided to fuck up as well, so haven't been able to get on for yonks. Finally got it working though.

That Tiam lynch was...interesting. Was a veritable pile-on after the first couple of votes, and for not much of a reason that I could see *shrugs*. That avatar-switch-FM thing was utterly ludicrous as well, could be construed as over-zealousness, i.e. FM trying to throw suspicion off on others.

Also, you're naked Sorrit.

The mechanics of this game makes it very suspectible to pile-ons as you term them. It also makes people seemingly unwilling to vote, which is understandable. It's nice to see you turn up, but now I dunnow what to do

Hmm, that's true, I guess I was expecting people to be more circumspect with throwing their vote around, as you only get one and lynching blindly gives a ~1/3 chance of hitting a teammate. Looking back it seems the primary motives from about vote 3 was to cash in for some chips? Still dunno why Tiam was picked by Korabas though, seems as though he picked him out of a hat.

Yes my vote was entirely random. I wasn't joking about flipping the coin. I felt fairly confident that a purely random coin flip wouldn't take out one of the two main members of my faction. Though you are right that I could have taken out one of my teammates. But who would reveal which faction they are in? As soon as you do then roughly 2/3 of the remaining players would be gunning for you. They only way people would be willing to reveal which faction they are in is when one faction has more players then the other two combined. At that point they would control the voting block. A fake reveal wouldn't fly either at that stage because the captain would know exactly who is on their team and would know if someone if lying. I just didn't see any way to get information about anyone other than a purely random shot in the dark.

The captains do not know who is in their team, I asked the mods. They do not know who is on their team. At the moment, the faction count is 3 6 and 4 so it is close to being the majority already. However, if the captain loses a bet then one of the other factions can recruit from their team which means this is not as cut and dry as one would seem

I would have sworn that I read that the captains knew all the members of their team.

I started out on the Kraiklyn team but was wagered, i knew the person before me on his team and when I transferred to team Jernau I know my leader for them too

Zakalwe, looks at his cards and fails to mutter "They werent there a second ago!" before calling.

jack spades

six spades

two hearts

seven diamonds

Four Diamonds

Round two of the betting begins. Kraiklyn is all in so will be in for the FULL pot at the end of the hands betting.

*i am modding solo and am trying to add some flair to the game to entertain you all.... apologies for failing miserably!!!

well, it KIND OF makes sense why all three wwren't posted. what with time zones at all, if one player is say, in New Zealand, and he just went to sleep, and someone raises in Europe or the states, and DiBs needs to wait and see untill he wakes up to either call/raise/fold, it would take forever, in theory. So I can see the benefit of making simultaneous bets, based on your own hand, and not the other players. though that robs the players of some infor you gain with the blinds/bets/etc.

As for Zakalve.... the man pushed preflop with jack five... so i'm not sure Rplaying safe is his forte.
ofc, there's a 25% chance that Tiam was the second. which would put Zakalve at a major disadvantage.

hmmm, the possibiliteis.

tiam was a life, it was stated that he was a life wasn't it? Also tellan must have been a life too as he was lost on the wager

amp was quiet yesturday compare to today, now hes making all sorts of waves.

maybe its because he knows that after tonight he will jump to a different alt so hes making as much as noise as possible so that he can slip into his next alt quietly

Vote Amp

Bet 10

I'm just doing a quick read-up, don't have much time just now. I don't think I'm going to have much time tomorrow, either, though. So I'm going to get my vote in now:

Vote Ampelas

There's a lot going for an Amp lynch. There's the notion of his FM-obsessing being potentially indicative of him in fact being one. There's him reacting over OMGUS-ly to Silanah's pressure which comes off to me as an act of desperation, either because he's intentionally trying to draw attention or because he really is scared of being lynched but thinks everything will be fine if he makes it through the day. The latter would indicate FM, the former a symp-like behaviour. But there are no symps in this game, and someone as blatant as that is not going to be useful to any faction, probably the one to get traded back and forth at the bottom of the chain. His tendency to throw out his one and only vote on stupid little things like my avatar switch or the slightest bit of OMGUS to Sil means he won't be useful to the factions in eliminating the FMs, either.

And lastly, the one that strikes me the most, is that Amp "outed" GL without any such need, and then passes it off as possible "distancing". I would rather lynch Amp then allow for the possibility of him being on my team or trading to my team and then "outing" my faction just to "distance" from me, either.

this is weak, these are not your reasons, you are basically looking after silanah here, by voting me you make her vote from me less convincing, don't try and tell us that a captain/second or even FM would play the way i've played to garner discussion and bring people into speaking and discussing things, i've played exactly how i wanted to play as its the only way i should play being a life

maybe i don't understand lynches but i thought they where there to out other peoples captains or the fm, which i don't think i have played like either

I'm also leaving for awhile and I don't want to miss the vote like last time. I think Barghast makes good points about Amp, especially his voting. He really made a point of calling other people's votes "random" when the Tiam train was getting started, but his own votes seem like he's just trying to see what sticks. And anyone who says "it doesn't bother me too much if I'm lynched" probably deserves to be lynched. I think the winds are changing and an Amp lynch is in the cards (ouch, puns...).

Vote Ampelas

Bet 5 credits

you are in the kraiklyn faction, i KNOW this. Just for this wishy washy vote

joining the masses and not forming your own opinion, and not helping out much in the last 2 days, also your two first posts that are so different i'd think you to be fm

except in this case, the zeros are a bonus, instead of an auto loss.

But I agree, with Ampblatantly pointing out a likely Zakalve, any non-zakalve has a greater than 50% chance of hitting someone not on their team. this is augmented slightly, byt he fact that Jelungas have one more that Cracklins.

and if Galayn isn't team Z? this is based on him voting for someone else after someone voting for tiam.

it is not 100% that galayn is team z is it?

any chance we can get a proper vote count from H n M?

once youve made your original bet on a lynch, can you bet again?

can you vote for one player, then if it looks like its not toing to go through, bet on someone else?

you only get one vote mate, just one, and even to my dying last minutes I am happy i voted Silanah
