I certainly see this as a good indication of Tiamath being of higher rank. The argument made by Galayn Lord doesn't make any sense outside of a wish to derail. A bit blatant perhaps, but it struck me nevertheless.

This here is about as nonsensical as one can be on day 1. If I was a betting man I would put what little credit I have on Ampelas being the FM. It's a tried and true tradition that the FM is the one on thread who obsesses most about finding the FM. Furthermore, no one can seriously believe a change of avatar means that someone is the FM. I chose then to believe that Ampelas holds other motives, rather than, you know, being a moron.

However, I'd prefer to gain some credits from this mess and as I mentioned above, Tiamath is an acceptable choice too, as far as I can see.

the reason for this is that if a captain wins a hand and accepts the life into his faction that player joins the chain

life5 will learn life 4s identity even though life four has just joined that faction they are the next person. if the captain loses the next hand and the other does not want so many players life 5 dies first, then life 4 etc.

Listen, you fucking dummies. The goal of Lives is to try and identify opponents who may be in other factions, and to try and find the FM. Well, guess what, a lynch day 1 when there has been no change by the FM so trying to find him is, hey, what... a shot in the dark. Seconds and captains will try to stay alive as long as possible, I guess, to preserve their credit.
Also, the faster people die who are not the FM, the easier it will be for him to capture a captain.
