Instead of doing a "Just finished" post after every book I figure I will do an ongoing topic on my thoughts AS I'm reading the books. So be forewarned THERE WILL BE SPOILERS! SPOILERY SPOILERS!
YEP, THERE WILL STILL BE SPOILERS.
As I mentioned elsethread I've just started Furies of Calderon and I'm about 125 pages in. Enjoying the book so far but there are a couple of things that have really stuck out in my mind. The first being the mountain. Garados. GARADOS. GYARADOS!!!
^Seriously what I picture EVERY time I read about Garados looming in the background.
Secondly during the scene in which Aquitainus is introduced:
Quote
Upon a large chair covered in the fur of a grass lion from the Amaranth Vale sprawled a man --- as tall as Adrick, Fidelias judged, but more slender, and with the appearance of a young man in the prime of his youth. Aquitainus had high cheekbones and a narrow face, led by a strong jaw whose lines were softened by the tumble of dark golden hair that tumbled to his shoulders. He was a simple scarlet blouse with dark leather breeches and soft, black boots. A goblet dangled lazily from one hand, while the other held the end of a long strip of silken cloth that slowly unwound from the shapely girl dancing before him, gradually baring more and more of her skin. Aquitainus had eyesof pitch black, stark in that narrow face, and he watched the dancing slave with an almost feverish intensity.
All I could think of was Eric's introduction from the first season of True Blood.
Put him in a red shirt and BINGO!
Anyways, that is all. For now.
