The train stopping through a kill seems to be a deliberate scum strategy... twice now. Whether that is to deflect attention, as PB initially suggested, or an attempt to get us to get no lynch, I don't know, but it is somewhat interesting. And worrying.
its creating a massive amount of confusion so i would guess its a deliberate attempt to keep us off balance. I dont see the advantage though in scum stopping a lynch? Surely us lynching town by mistake is their goal?
Unless we feel 'obliged' to try to lynch the same person again the next day without much discussion. In that case, they get another kill without anyone paying attention to them.
I would suggest we ignore it tbh, as the wifom regarding their motivation will lead us nowhere.
there is plenty of content on thread regarding shin and ment this morning to worry about, without trying to determine if the scum had the dude or tattersail down as a symp. Hell taking out someone on a train is acting more like a catalyst than a block.
Well, that depends on how many of those online have already cast a vote - day 1, there was no-one left/willing to vote Tattersail bar himself, in the end. But I agree, doing it an hour before deadline when there are like 6 people left who haven't voted will see them place their own in quick succession.

I can see how you'd see me protecting Shin, but that has not been my intention.
I didn't like the Dude's play since the end of day 1 where he voted for Silencer, and much less on day 2.
That was my reason for going after him.
I agree with your assessment of Ment at this point in time, but that is a thing from late day 2 and his reply to Ansible right now. As you can read, I saw nothing at all in lynching him day 1 and barely paid attention to him on day 2 apart from one minor exchange. That it came after a vote on Shin had nothing to do with Shin either, just with Ment suggesting I'm a symp - there has been some discussion on that subject, too, between Ment and Lizra.
