I think everyone skips the front door to blighttown after they know the back way lol.

Uberstein is easy as pie but getting to that stage is the hard part. I only go for O to get the Leo ring and on ng+ super O is meant to be nigh on impossible.

I'm planning on full havels tanking my way through kings too. Very reliable method actually lol. May get a wee shot tonight if I can otherwise not until tomorrow. I get half hour here or there to play. Not stopped me wracking up 60 hours game time though lol.

Me too, I have to wait until the kids are all sorted and in bed; then I get some time to myself. Tired tonight but might just manage a short trip down to ash lake.

So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

You can get a full set of Havel's armor, his shield, AND the dragon's tooth he lugs around. It looks and is badass. But it is very, very heavy.

Comes in handy when you absolutely positively need to tank something.

Going full havels means you can poise through many hits. If you throw in the Wolf ring you are near un staggerable. You don't get the rest of his gear until later though.

Stone armour is also good for tanking hits.

I can see why I've been skipping blight town - that is one tangled route to take. Didn't have any trouble on the way down; only problem was trying to reach items but I remembered how to get to them.

Then down to Ash Lake. Awesome view. Cleared that and now back in Anor Londo.

Guess it's the Archives next.

Use a spear and run to the crystal lizard, lock on, and kill it. You have to exit out of the game to the start menu and then reload to make it appear.

It will give you a bunch of goodies. There are a bunch throughout the game and they give good stuff, but some are tricky to get before they burrow into the ground. If you miss, reload, and they will be there again.

Buy the Crest of Artorias from the bodybuilder blacksmith (Andre of Astoria) for 20k souls. It will pay for itself over and over again when you learn how to farm that zone.

As amph said reload your game as the lizards give rarer titanite for upgrading.

It's good you are investigating darkroom now before the depths as you can kill the hydra for disks ring. (half's health but adds 50% to spell casts) and you can also find dusk after and get dusks crown, which greatly boost magic damage.

Went slab farming in new Londo this morning, 8 runs later I have 24 chunks and more slab. I did this with full 410 discovery. Still hate your rng traveller lol

I found more chunks in the great hollow. I wish I'd remembered the reload trick while I was there, saw quite a few lizards. Unless they've got demon t or slabs I don't think I'll go back.

The lizards in the hollow have a good chance of dropping slabs, unfortunately none dropped any for me lol.

I'm going to try farm more slabs again tonight while wife does bed time.

There's a bonfire in a cave behind him if that helps. If you can get past him and into the cave, you can beat him from there.

I just upgraded my BBS to 15 (with my spare slab lol) and it is now awesome - it has an A for dex scaling, it has good reach, and it is sooo fast.

And then I tried out power within. Holy crap. Those guys in the forest didn't stand a chance, I cut through them in like two slashes. Seriously, that pyro is like a cheat mode. I wonder if the dragon ring extends its use?

Yep. Don't think I've found one before. I went looking for it this time. Worth the upgrade for a dex build.

Build up souls to get 20k and buy the Crest of Artorias from the blacksmith. It will unlock the glowing doors next to the bonfire.

It's expensive now, but will completely pay for itself inside a day once you learn how to farm that area.

It pays for itself in about 10 minutes.

BK if you run past the stone Knights, keeping to the left until you get round to the far right corner there is a stone ruin with a very beatable boss at the top.
