Who among the pantheon would the Fallen One despise and fear the most?
Consider the last chaining, in which Hood, Fener, the Queen of Dreams, Osserc and
Oponn all participated, in addition to Anomander Rake, Caladan Brood and a host of
other ascendants. It is not so surprising, then, that the Crippled God could not have
anticipated that his deadliest enemy was not found among those mentioned . . .

This led into Chapter 23. It also led to a chapter with Apsalar/Cotillion. What do you think makes CG so fearful of Cotillion/ST?

i'm not sure this refers to Cot/ST at all... i've considered it might be them, but i've also considered that quick ben or even tavore paran could be his most deadly enemy. then again, it could almost be said that QB and Tavore are acting, if not on the orders of, at least in concordance with ST/Cotillions desires. much as they might resent that.
There's a fine line between genius and insanity. I have erased this line.

There are a vast myriad of forces that array themselves against the CG in some way or another and are not listed as having attended the last Chaining. The passage is vague enough it could be referring to a single person, an ascendant, a god, an army, a whole race, an entire world, a giant robot, etc etc...

Lots and lots of possibilities, and I'm not going to list them here because it'd be spoilerific!

I kinda love it when D'rek unleashes her nerd wrath, as I knew she would here. Sorry innocent bystanders, but someone's gotta be the kindling.
