I like how this has morphed into a Canadian weather thread.

It's one of the national pass times. Right up there with playing/watching hockey, drinking, etc.
I love how balmy the East Coast has been compared to the rest of the country. There was a week or so with -30 and below temps (wind chills mind you) but for the most part it's been hovering between -10 and -20.

Agree with Anomander.
Nice temps out here for the most part. I'm borderline between "up north" and "southern" new brunswick, so it's a little colder than the coastal cities...still very nice. Temps have been perfect for keeping the snow we have in excellent condition for XC and DH skiing.

I spoke too soon about the weather being decent. Since Tuesday night we've gotten 40+ cm of snow dumped on us. So much shoveling...

Good luck finding parking.
They said it could take days to clean up the streets here.

I had to open all the doors and windows to my apartment, and hang about shirtless. It's hot.

winter's back with a vengeance. had a few days of plus single digits, which caused much icing. and tomorrow evening it'll be minus thirty again.

No snow in forecast thankfully, and it's supposed to warm up again by the weekend!

Just got back from a few weeks in Victoria, Vancouver and Okanagan valley in BC.
Bastards have got it so easy. I bet Canadian Tire doesn't even stock snow shovels in those cities.

The only reason people in Vancouver buy snow tires is to drive to Whistler for the weekends.
Though you should see what 2cm of snow does to traffic.

I remember buddies who went to UBC telling me about campus closing when it snowed.
The University of Calgary never closes. It can be -45 C and 15cm of snow and if you have a test that day, you better get your ass to school cause campus ain't closing!

After having a week of relatively warm and mild weather, with temperatures hovering just above 0 during the days, winter has struck back, with it snowing for a couple hours yesterday, and temperatures running between -10 to -15 today
"But I saw you [Snake]…faced by Anomander [Mandy] himself. How did…"
"I escape? Well, I dazzled him with fancy words, edging ever closer, then used my ninja skills to strike like a cobra, knocking the sword [Spamnipur] away and drop-kicking him over the side before tumbling backwards, slaying another Piss'd Andii on the way."
Silence. Lots of silence. "Fine!" He shrugged and grinned, "Someone hit him in the face with a coin, and he cursed just long enough for me to get away." ~ Excerpt from Gardens of the Tea Spoon

Shoveled off the tarp covering the boat last night. Standing in crotch-depth snow pulling yet more crotch-depth snow down off the boat with a roof-rake =/= good time.
