You already have ENOUGH snow! Why add to it!? Canadia is a madhouse.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

I sort of feel bad saying this but it feels almost like a spring day out there today and it's -11C. Thats only cause it's about 10C warmer than it has been the last week or so.
I'm not about to engage in a battle of the wits with an unarmed opponent.

Ottawa broke some kind of record on Monday.
Hit the cold point where celsius and farenheit ceased to have meaning.

@ Rodeo
It's + 7 C out your way today.
Snow is awesome, and we need more. The Ski conditions aren't at their best yet. At least where I live.
Also the temperature rose from -26 C to -10 C this week. Disappointing, if the trend continues we'll be back to 0 C next week which means we'll have had 2 weeks of winter.
@Abyss
You mean -40?
Or the point where the Kelvin scale is better?

Don't bother pitying people who complain about the cold, they're getting their wish granted.
Winter is on the slide, it's been getting warmer and shorter year after year, at least in Eastern Canada.
As for me, I love winter. It's the best season there is.
Now I get to see it whither with each successive season. If anything pity my loss.

I was down there in early December for a conference man, it was colder there than it was at home.
26F or something foolish like that. I didn't even bring a coat with me.

This winter has been seriously cold for the south. It's snowed (at least to us) the last 2 years which it had not done in the 25 years prior. They were closing school or delaying the start cause there was the possibility of ice on the roads. But it has started to 'warm' up a bit even though 54 F is still too damn cold for my tastes, but then this is the farthest north I've lived. Grew up in sunny southwest florida so my blood is thin when it comes to cold temps

Oh it's plenty warm here finally. We had two weeks of snow and cold. Miserable fucking weather.

we've been toeing around -15 for most of the week, and Thursday and Friday will be in the negative single digits.

I'm having trouble reconciling these two clauses.

After weeks of -30 or lower, -15 can feel positively balmy

yes it can and does. I was out in just a t-shirt for a bit this afternoon.

That's like saying after weeks of 40+ weather, 30 is not hot at all.. We had about two weeks of 40+ weather a couple of years back, and 30 was still pretty damn hot.
