Well, I've met quite a few unnamed NPC's in Sigil that were either interesting to talk to (for example: the 2 demons in the smothering corpse bar) or even essential for a quest (for example: the thugs that stole the necklace from a monk).


By the way: conversation is terrific in this game, so much interesting stuff coming along.

IIRC there's some quest content from talking to your companions too...thought I can't remember how much. They do have terrific stories.

And, like Baldur's gate, you get very little content from simply following the main questline. The more you talk, the more stuff there is to do.

Although I unlocked the litany skill, I haven't used it yet. Do I upgrade it by getting people to curse at me??

More or less. You'll notice that Morte will either begin arguing with that person or he'll be staring as if enthralled (and listening to sweet curses). And the game will let you know when Morte has upgraded that talent. Speak with a whore/tart sometime, that's always a good start.

What type of char are you playing?

I had by far the most fun with a full mage character and found the other companions to be a good compliment to that type of main.

Plus, some of the late game cutscene animations for the advanced level 8 and 9 spells are worth every bit of pain-in-the-ass you experience struggling through the first few levels of mage-wuss-ness.

My favourite game, and propably the best cRPG of my life. BG II is great too, but Planescape:Torment is just Awesomness Incarnated, and Morte, Dak'kon and Fall-From-Grace are one's of my favourite characters from computer games.

As far as I am (in the catacombs under Sigil) PT has for me some of the same strong features that make MBotF so great: a very original and deep story, a dark atmosphere, much depth and likable characters.

I've been loving the game too. Just reached Baator, so I have been plowing through the game hehe.

My character is a fighter, as always. I can't stand mages usually, and in this game in particular. For some odd reason my laptop can't handle the spells. For a game made in 1999, and a laptop that was top of the line in 2008, it is just odd. I've been having a lot of issues with it recently and I think this is just another thing that is going, though I've tried updating without effect.
