Is the panther that Gruntle encounters while he is "riding" a tiger in his dream being 'ridden' by a K'Chain Che'Malle female?
It is said she is from the city of Morn. I ask if she was K'Chain Che'Malle because i thought Morn was a K'Chain Che'Malle city.

My guess - she was from further in the future than Gruntle and New Morn is a human settlement that wil exist eventually.

nah, i think it's more likely a human we haven't met yet.

No, couldn't be Kilava, because she's soletaken and would thus have been there physically. The panther in that scene made it quite clear that she was there only in spirit, riding the body of the panther and only temporarily at that.

pretty sure its not Kilava. It was just some random woman. having a dream. it just so happened to touch on Gruntle for a time.

hoods a pretty major deity, i think even with him no longer occuping the throne hes still one badass mofo whose gonna leave an imprint somewhere, i doubt he would be easy to forget, we still have names of gods that havent been worshiped on earth for thousands of years and we still remember them

i always thought that gruntles vision was of the past, with primative humans (or were they esreal in the dream?) morn could easily have been a city b4 the KCCM destroyed it, im pretty sure that the matron tried to harness the gate of choas at the end of the war with the short tails, hence her desperation. and the tiste had already settled in by then, im sure i saw it said that the imass witnissed the coming of the tiste, but i might be wrong on that...but if there were imass its not to huge a leap for there to be humans.

The panther woman seams pretty primative in her way of speach to me...but gruntle spirit walked back in time its not impossible to assume someone else did

You pretty much see it the way i do as well. Kilava could have easily been there, and just because she's Soletaken doesn't mean she is actually inhabiting that form via her dream. I mean Gruntle is Soletaken as well, as he describes "riding the tiger" as well. Dreams and reality overlap, or simpy a dream state, who knows? And i thought the folks/"food" they encountered were the Eres, but of course i could be wrong.

Then again, maybe Abyss is right, and the future world is in fact what we are witnessing with this unnamed panther lady. The planet underwent some major cataclysm (sp.?) and is essentially on restart in regards to its evolution, cycle of life thing and all....

Edit: Or its simply a crazy dream......!

To be clear, i think the forest they visit is in the past, Gruntle is from one point in the future , and cat lady is from a further point in the future, possibly WAY in the future.

Consider the various visions people have had throughout the series - there's always a reason for them, even if it isn't always made clear. Toc sees Trake's death. Cutter sees the QoD taking Leoman and Dunsparrow. Heboric sees the Jade chunks falling. The point is that the event being viewed is significant, factually, symbolically, whatever.

So for whatever reason, Trake wanted Gruntle to view the forest. And, at some point likely in the future, maybe Trake wanted cat lady to view the same forest. Or Trake wanted cat lady and Gruntle to meet and knew Gruntle would be at that dreamview at that time.
