In the prologue of Midnight tides it gets mentioned that Mother dark has 3 children; Anomandaris Irake, Silchas Ruin, and Andarist. I've been assuming that Anomandaris Irake is just another name for Anomandar Rake. Can someone just clarify this for me, or they the same person? sorry if this is a stupid question but i just wanna make sure im not assuming something that's completely wrong.

Rake is known by several different names. Anomandaris, Anomandar Rake/Irake/, Anomandar Dragnipurake. They are all the same guy.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Yea, there are tons of examples of slight name differences talking about the same person in this series. Some of them are because the names evolve over time and some are because all the people are speaking different languages so it makes sense that they would pronounce and eventually spell things differently.

If you see a name that is eerily similar to another one (with an added or deleted letter or syllable) its probably the same person.
So, you're the historian who survived the Chain of Dogs.
Actually, I didn't.

It seems you stand alone.
It was ever thus.
