Perhaps you have all picked up on this already...but I was re-reading DoD and I came across this passage between Bottle and QB:

Am I alone in thinking the scene at the end of the book with Bottle and QB was foreshadowed here??

Ok, now that's fixed.

I think the general consensus is that it's a foreshadowing that Bottle would get in some trouble sooner or later. It's also the evidence people use to support their theory that Bottle may be alive. Of course, it all relies on Quick Ben being able to pull him out, and his fate isn't exactly clear either...

With all the build up around Bottle's character, does anyone really think he's dead? I mean, of all the Bonehunters, he has had so much work put into him, I cannot see him dying so ambiguously. Especially since he's like a little Quick Ben - too crafty to die until the end...

IMO, Bottle will ne "Icarized" into many wyvals and then drawed thru doll by QB, who used Rashan teleport.

I would agree with that...except I felt like Keneb was built up as well and look what happened to him...
