Speak for yourself, I look SIMPLY DIVINE!!! :)
If an opinion contrary to your own makes you angry, that is a sign that you are subconsciously aware of having no good reason for thinking as you do. If some one maintains that two and two are five, or that Iceland is on the equator, you feel pity rather than anger, unless you know so little of arithmetic or geography that his opinion shakes your own contrary conviction. … So whenever you find yourself getting angry about a difference of opinion, be on your guard; you will probably find, on examination, that your belief is going beyond what the evidence warrants. Operation Wellington is a go. Bought 2 giant fillet steaks at the butchers and been to the wine merchants. All i need now is a cocktail shaker and some martini glasses and the christmas binge can begin.

I didn't receive any either. False prophets, the lot of them!! I went with an internet combination, sprinkled with common sense. Turned out we had an individual Wellington each the weight of a new born baby. We ditched starters and some of the sides in order to tackle the buggers. I'm never going to enjoy food again, never a more fitting combination of flavours and ingredients has ever been conceived. Fillet steak, pastry, parma ham and wild mushrooms. What's more to ask for?

EDIT - James, do something about the humungous visages!!!!!!

I'm pleased that I've met everyone in those photos. I was even sober at some point.

That is kind of spooky - the Operation Wellington thing that is - Mal and I had exactly the same thing for Christmas dinner.
The kids have both moved out so it was just us - no stress, just absolute bliss! We got a bit tipsy and played naked Sing Star on the PS3 - with full video playback it was a bit daunting but one hell of a laugh - I never knew Mal could sing, let alone in Portuguese.
I'm thinking we could have a milder version at the BBQ in the summer - and no, I will not be posting the video's to YouTube

How did the good burghers of Cambourne react to Mal's singing? Do you think this will result in a bumper attendance at the next BBQ?

OMG YES

I absolutely LOVE karaoke in all its glorious forms. In fact, people often compare me to a young George Michael. Even those who haven't actually heard me sing, word must have got around about my golden vocal chords.

No, it's because you are permanently stoned and enjoy hanging out at the local public bogs. :D
Now all the friends that you knew in school they used to be so cool, now they just bore you.
Just look at em' now, already pullin' the plow. So quick to take to grain, like some old mule.

I don't know if anyone is interested, but Joe Abercrombie is doing a signing for The Heroes at the Deansgate waterstones on the 2nd of Feb.

I think you'll have a taker here.... :unworthy:
