9/10 - sounds very investable in; how do you personally score ICE's first two and Erikson's just so this score is put in perspective?

Edit: Oh, and does it have spoilers for DoD, I've yet to read it and wasn't clear on whether I could read this first or not.

Your ref to Kiska is REALLY encouraging. I liked her in NoK, i liked her more in RCG (albeit briefly), so yay!

The thing with Kiska is that her storyline has nothing to do with the main plot. That's when I realized that there is a bigger, overall story arc to ICE's books. Then, as you discover where she goes and who's traveling with her, well. . . :p

Never liked her much, but she went up quite a few notches in Stonewielder. . .

Good review, liked it a lot
With regards to Kiska, I've always thought there was more to her than was in the books, especially with her 'lineage' and the like....

Looking forward to it big time..... roll on release day (and Amazon better deliver it in time)

I don't know about him but I was under the impression that he drowned like the rest of Iron Bars' Guardsmen. Since even High Mages can die like bitches in this series. I'm pleased he made it, though.

I. am. so. EXCITED. I love the hints about the hints about the Vow of the CG. By far my favorite faction in the series (obviously sans BBs/BH).

What about the Timeline? It starts about two years after ROTCG but where is it compared to Eriksons work, TTH/DOD? Do we get reactions to events like Rake's death and Draconus return?

What about Ammanas/Cotillion, do they put in an appearance?

Release date is still a month away, though, which makes me a sad panda... :p

Quick update:

Just heard back from Esslemont, and the Darujhistan novel will be next.

Although everything hinted at the Assail book at the end of Stonewielder, I guess that ICE will now tie all the loose ends from TTH...
