In case you guys didn't know, there is a contest going on to reveal the chapter titles of Towers of Midnight. Full details on the contest and current reveals here (updated frequently). Also, the prologue reading from DragonCon will be posted soon. He read a Lan POV and a Galad POV, and I was there. I posted a summary here (more detail on Lan further down), but I will be transcribing the reading when it is posted.

Edit, because I forgot to say that the chapter titles are codes that will unlock an excerpt from TOM. It appears so far to be a Mat POV. It might be one that was written by RJ; Brandon said that RJ wrote a good bit of the Mat portions of this book.

Which code are you trying to enter? The codes that you enter are chapter names. You either guess them or find them on bumper stickers in copies of TWOK. The 'garbled shit' is what has been revealed so far. Each correct chapter name entered unlocks a set of characters; when all characters are unlocked, we'll have a Mat POV.

Which code are you trying to enter? The codes that you enter are chapter names. You either guess them or find them on bumper stickers in copies of TWOK. Bad taste? Why? There is no purchase necessary, and the WoT fandom is loving it. They always give us a list of chapter names shortly before the book is released, but this is a much more fun way to reveal them. I certainly don't expect any of you to participate, but I figured I'd drop the news since we're having so much fun with it (and since the chapter names are being revealed). We have guessed several outright so far, and we have found a good number of them as well.

Wouldn't it be awesome if Brandon introduced a new character called Rafo? Let's say he was at Ishy's darkfriend social in the Great Hunt and he might look a bit like Sammael or Demandred. His first scene could be in the prologue where he would reminisce about the time when he hid in a pantry in Caemlyn's palace when Rand killed Rahvin.

Ah, thanks. Interesting. At least my guesses were all new stuff (yeah I know, I wasn't very serious about it either). How is your list compiled? There's likely a boatload of attempts which are not captured by the list. When do you think it's over? My problem is, since Brandon won't get anywhere near to where I live, I'm not going to be able to contribute and realistically, I won't guess the right codes. So all I can do is watch and wait until it's all done.

ETA: I saw someone tried 'The death of Faile'
Maybe one should try 'The death of [any annoying Aes Sedai ever encountered in the first 12 books]'
