New reader of the series, just got the first ebook off Barnes and Noble last week. Also a fan of Jordan, Sanderson, and Martin. I flat-out refuse to read the 4th ASOIAF until the 5th comes out, and I'm running out of things to read. I'm a college student taking 20 credit hours this semester because my advisor is an idiot. On the upside, though, I'll finish a 4-year degree in three, and get a teaching cert in my 4th, and be out of college before the world ends! (I'm kidding about the world ending part. I'm crazy, but not quite that crazy)
Actually, while I'm here, does anyone know why books 2 and 3 are missing from the B&N list? Or, failing that, it is as easy as it seems to put the EPUB files from Waterstones on my B&N ereader (find the file, copy/paste)?

Hmmm not sure, but you can get kindle for your computer and get the kindle versions if you like reading it on screens. although computer might be annoying. personally I think just buy an ipod touch and you get kindle stuff and B and E reader stuff and an ipod, but I do not know why they don't have it.
I would most reccomend though just buying the books or getting them from the library.

I'm doing that same thing with ASOIAF, but not quite as militantly. I would just rather wait and start over, than have to remember on the spot everything and everyone from the first three.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

It's really more of an author's intent thing. Apparently, FFC and DWD were supposed to be one book that got too long. I want to read them that way.

Your epic name is epic. Much love for Kefka.
Concerning ASoIaF, I've stopped waiting for Dance. If it gets released, that's awesome, but if it doesn't I'm not going to get too worked up about it. Sure, it'll be a shame if such a great series is never completed, but what can you do. I figure Martin is suffering from writer's block, at least to some degree.
Anyway, be sure to ask questions, lots of questions. We know you'll have some. Anyway, hope you enjoy the series!

It took Martin years to finish one Bran chapter, either he is currently writing the most glorious and epic book in history or something's very wrong. I am kinda hoping it'll turn out to be the first option, because.. yeah, I still care, even if I hated Feast.
Anyways, welcome aboard.
Have a nice time and some imaginary rep.
