I can honestly say that while I like your style, this looks nothing like I picture Dancer at all.

Dancer is close to 200 years old, and while he probably didn't look his age, I doubt he looked that young. I also think his face would bare the memories of a hard life or murder and schemes within schemes.

Besides this Dancer would have been in something aching to peak physical condition for an assassin. This guy looks like you could break his neck of you sneezed at him. His neck is pencil thin, he has no muscular development in his neck or shoulders.

Looking up his encyclopedia entry I can see why you might have designed him like that that http://encyclopediam...orks.com/Dancer But narrow fine features only go so far.

Also, dude has a weak chin.

Also I'm pretty sure that Dancer is actually white.
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

I would chalk that part down to lighting.

Apt and Illy, it's not lighting. I always pictured him as black.
I beefed up his neck and chin a bit.

I like it. IIRC, you are right in his skin color, as i always thought he was Dal Honese, like Kellanved. I also always got the sense that he is tall and slender, and looks less-than-imposing, deceptively so if you will. Didn't mean that in a bad way (the non-intimidating Dancer here), as i believe that is the way Dancer wanted to be percieved when he was mortal.

I need to go to sleep....sigh

It has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt that the most powerful force on Wu is a bunch of messed-up Malazans with Moranth munitions.

So, ah... I just read the bit in TtH when Karsa runs into ST and Cots and Cotillion is described as having pale skin.
So, I may have to alter this a bit I guess.

It occurs to me that I probably should read things a bit closer, or take notes or something?!
