I'm sure there was already a 'Piranha' film out post-Jaws. Which then had a sequel involving evolved 'flying' piranhas...
If the sci-fi channel had been around back then, it would have premiered on it.
(Anyone else think that the final bit of the trailer looks just like shot of Ripley and the Alien in the trailer from Alien 3?)

I watched this. It was not worth it, other than the nudie swimming with Kelly Brook and that porn star woman... in glorious 3D!

Saw it, enjoyed it immensely. A perfect summer (leave your brain at the door) movie.
* bouncing boobs and butts (in 3D!) - - - - check
* prehistoric piranha fighting over an <ahem> male appendage and winner belching the appendage back up after swallowing it - - - - check
* cheesy acting - - - - check
* over the top gore - - - - check
If you think Predators and The A-Team were good movies this one will knock your socks off! Go see it (in glorious 3D) and try to disagree with me.
