"Attention! The game will start in 60 seconds! The game is Individual Deathmatch and the last person standing will win."
Sirens blared to life.
"You will need to use cunning, trickery, firepower, and skill to win. Failure... will be punished!"
Welcome to Team Fortress 2! The map you're on has a lot of special rules, so pay attention!
General Game Info
- In order to win, you must be the single last person standing.
- You have 3 lives. Every time you die or are lynched you lose one life.
- You may pick a new class when you die.
- The same class may only be picked 4 times total, first come first serve. This is permanent, even after deaths.
- Days are 30 hours long, Nights are 12 hours long (or until all actions are in).
- All actions resolve simultaneously at the end of the phase, unless otherwise noted. If you have 0 HP at the end of a phase, you die.
- All actions are Day and Night actions.
- In the Day, you still Vote. A lynch simply removes one player's life.
- You do not know anybody else's class.
- You do not know anybody's current lives other than your own.
- All deaths are reported globally in this format: A <class> has been [killed by a <weapon>][lynched]! (the player name is not revealed)
Combat
- All weapons are listed with a damage range. The real damage will be randomized when you attack.
- To attack, you pick a target and weapon/ability. You will automatically hit for the listed damage at the end of the phase, unless the attack fails for some reason (Rocket Jump, Sticky Jump, Invisibility).
- You have one action per phase, unless an ability says otherwise.
- When you are attacked, you will be informed of the weapon used.
Strategy
- You will probably need to change classes in the game when you die.
- Some classes are very strong in combat, others are better at staying alive.
- You are encouraged to gang up on a player you think is doing well.
- Even though there are times team play is useful (such as the case above, or if you are a Medic), only one person can win. Use team play situations to your advantage.
- Have fun and good luck!
