I also had Garrus with me as often as possible. I actually rotated Garrus, Kasumi and Grunt around between missions.
The races of the galaxy will have to up their game a bit. Recall what did it take to take down Sovereign. And now there's hundreds of them coming. This won't be easy.

As for Cerberus being into some nasty shit... I'm quite certain they're not worse than the Council, the Alliance, Salarians, Turians, Batarians, Asari or Krogans. There's just a LOT we weren't really told.

The qurians have the biggest fleet in the galaxy but Id still take the 27 dreadnoughts of the Turian fleet against their 10000 transports any day

We don't really know the makeup of the quarian fleet - yes they look like transports but who knows how those things were modified. They survived this long with their fleet, I'm pretty sure they have warships as well. But yeah, I'd take the turians any day - I admit I like them. As for defeating the Reapers not being easy - I got visions of war to make 40k proud. Plus Bioware said that since it's the last game in the series and they don't have to bother with continuity (as in plot branches and how the affect the following games) they will go wild with ME3. I can't wait. Sadly I'm so happy with the ME series in general I'm like a hamster on coffee right now. My cat is looking at me as if she's wondering if I finally lost it.

Well, a lot of the ships in the Migrant Fleet are 300 years old. Floating rust, tbh.
Now, compare that to the second Normandy.

I'm not going to insult the Normandy by making that comparison. Still, Tali did upgrade the kinetic barriers so maybe the Migrant Fleet also has some fancy upgrades. We won't know until we see them in action.

I'll still feel better with Alliance and turian ships giving me support.

Well, yeah, of course. Turians for the rank and file, and Alliance as mobile shock troops. Asari for... well, probably useful for something, I guess. Maybe Commando infiltration shuttles. Salarians for scrambling and intercepting communications.

Normally I'd say the asari for distracting the enemy but I guess that wouldn't work on reapers. Speaking of asari I recall hearing a conversation between a turian and a salarian (I think) about the asari. From that conversation it sounded like each race saw something resembling them but with the head tentacles - makes me think of the vorlons from Babylon 5 and how every race saw their prophets or angels or whatnot when looking at them. It would explain why every race finds the asari attractive even thought they look almost human (to humans at least). Just a random thing I remembered. I'm just annoyed I can't remember where I heard that conversation.

Btw did anyone kill Talid (the turian politician from Thane's loyalty quest)? I spared him mostly because I didn't like the idea of inadvertently helping that scum I interogated but Talid is seen conducting shakedowns and his bodyguard is a Blood Pack, so he's fair game as well. Also how the hell do Eclipse, Blood Pack and Blue Sons get any job since they act more criminal organizations (which they are) than mercs.

I share your sentiment about the wait for ME3. I want this game now, right now! Preferably yesterday.

Speaking of coffee, do you think that it would effective to juice up the salarians, with their fast metabolism, on coffee?

I killed him on my Renegade playthrough, saved on Paragon.
Anyway, most of Terminus operates like criminal organizations, I'm not surprised these get jobs. Though they do seem awfully ineffective. After what Shepard done to them, they're not getting back up I guess.

Well, started a playthrough of the series once again, this time as a renegade. Just did a full playthrough of the first game (did everything) clocking in at about 24 hours. It was my first time actually doing everything, and I'm glad I did it. Got some deeper insight into a few of the characters. Going to start up the second game later tonight.

Anyway, who did you guys save on Virmire? This playthrough I saved Kaidan, and I probably always will save him whenever I play the game again. Putting him with the nuke is the practical choice since he's a technician, than going back to save him is also practical in order to prevent the nuke from being disarmed. I know it was said that, once activated, it would be extremely difficult to disarm it, but with Saren and the Geth around it's the most realistic choice. Plus, Ashley is a boring bitch while Kaidan is pretty cool and laid back. Never having to hear her call you "skipper" again is also a godsend. If you can't tell, I've never romanced Ashley - I seem to have an alien fetish since I always bone Liara. Is it wrong that I think she's much better looking than Ashley (who I've always found pretty ugly...giant fish lips NOMNOMNOM)?

I have, of course, done it in every possible way, so saved both at one time or the other. I even romanced the bitch. And then let her die. True thing that Kaidan is a lot more respectable that Ash, and likable. Though they're nowhere near the alien characters.

TBH I think Subject Zero, Kasumi and (I know, not a fighter!) Joker are a lot better characters than Liara... she was so bloody boring it hurts.

Aye. Garrus, Wrex, Grunt, Tali (ok so I'm not that much of a Tali fanboy but I like her better than Ash, Kaidan, Miranda and Jacob still), LEGION, Modrin - they've done some incredible work. Maybe it's because an alien race offers some more room for personifying an interesting stereotype, making it more of a racial identity than a stereotype. We've got a member of a "duty first" race that rebels against regulations and wants to do his own thing, an old veteran of a Proud Warrior Race Guy race, a "coming of age" member of that race with an identy crisis, a prodigal daughter from a nomad race of tinkerers, a scientist completely passionate about his work, and even a multitude of "identities" inhabiting a single body - most of that stuff you wouldn't be able to do with a human character.
I, however, find Samara, Liara and Thane underwhelming. I just don't buy them. I'd rather have the asari bartender from Illium in my squad - would be a lot more interesting to have a krogan-fathered asari matron, awesome contrast to Liara and Benezia.
