You did Jack? Were you playing Paragon or Renegade?

From what I understood from the ship councillor, if you didn't want to disappoint Jack or make her turn homicidal murderess on you while you were sleeping one night, you best option was to try and befriend her but not attempt to make a pass on her. Of course, I'm also pretty sure that the councillor wants to jump your bones and fears Jack, so maybe she was lying... that bitch!

Also, who is the one from Chuck? I don't watch TV.:p

Being renegade in ME2 is awesome. It's not a question of being good or evil, it's more a question of whether you're an end justifies the means sort of person or not.

So when you're a renegade, you don't cuddle up to people and sugar coat things. You're saving the entire galaxy and nothing will get in your way, least of all the whining of your companions.

Hello gentleman. Not to go too off topic, but.......

Believe it or not i've never gotten around to playing the original ME and i'm gonna start it sometime this week.

I'd usually just go with a soldier, but Eddie tells me thats boring. I was looking online and a Vangaurd-Shock Trooper looked the coolest.

So, which is the most fun?
I've always been crazy but its kept me from going insane.

Infiltrator for me, but I just like the sniping / tech combo. Like my every Deus Ex playthrough.
It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood, who strives valiantly; who errs and comes short again and again; because there is not effort without error and shortcomings; but who does actually strive to do the deed; who knows the great enthusiasm, the great devotion, who spends himself in a worthy cause, who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement and who at the worst, if he fails, at least he fails while daring greatly. So that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who know neither victory nor defeat.

I'm also more of a straight forward Fighter/warrior type when I play RPGs. It's usually simpler and less annoying. Just aim and attack, I'm a brute force kind of guy.

My character was a Soldier, and all though I didn't regret that I do think I'd have had better options and more advanced gameplay if I'd chosen a Biotic variant like for example the Vanguard.

Class choices aside, you should consider choosing to make a female character. You wont know how to tell unless you've already done a play through, but the voice actor for the female Sheppard is a level above the male voice actor in skill and nuance.

Played the charge class, was a load of fun but since the abilities (except the charge) do not work on people who have shields up, it is kind of annoying at times. Then soldier just to get stuff done quickly on the second.

I picked Tali, to see what was behind the mask... and went with Garrus on a second play-through.

Adept is fun, technically the 'caster' class with no real weapons skills, but I'd advise using for the second or later playthrough since you can assign a bonus weapon skill then.

Secondly: Vanguar Shock Trooper is awesome....it's a combination of everything that's cool. Biotic powers and kick ass weapon skills:)

Oh noes! My fishies have died! :p

I just came into the captains quarters and all the fish were floating at the top of the tank. I thought maybe they were hungry so I clicked the feed button and they disappeared!

I think they starved to death while I was away! :p

EDIT: Holy crap. What about the hamster!? Mr Bickelsworth, not you too!

I can sooth any worries you had about my Space Hamster. It is alive and well. I am assuming it lives off of Space Radiation or the arterial blood of the people it kills.

You have to feed them after every mission. I think its only storyline missions. Just landing a random planet to kick random ass does not count I think. Eventually Yeomen chambers will offer to feed your fish for you. She wants you bad!

I'd say yes, most definately. But I prefer s-f to fantasy in games.

I've not played DA:O but Iet me put it like this, do you want to play a generic fantasy RPG with some knights and some trolls and some war against evil or do you want to play an innovative Space RPG that lets you travel across the Milkyway kicking ass and taking names, banging sexy aliens, battling creepy space monsters and generally being bad ass?

(I'm sure DA:O also has an excellent story line, it's the same developers after all, but meh)

Dragon Age: Origins is in fact a downright awesome game. But as a "spiritual successor" to Baldurs Gate 2 it fails utterly. It is not even in the same league.

Now, to Mass Effect. This is the best S-F rpg game ever made.

In the first one, what do you folks do with the council?
